Yes, the steering wheel if you ask him.

nothing. It was a mix up due to the fact the turbos were not stamped identified when shipped from supplier. Both compressor housings have a 3 bolt discharge but one has 3 threated holes and the other had 2. Was an oversight on my part but can/could easily be done to others as well. While it was a setback I helped Jono as much as possible through the swap out process. Everyone makes mistakes but its how you resovle them and make good to those that need help that makes the difference. This certainly should not be a reflection on build practices. That was the first time I've dealt with that particular set/style kit.

fair enough :p i guess it would have been hard enough working on a RHD engine setup as it was/is.

engine is pretty much straight forward, only issue was the fact that these are kits that are pieced together with no nomenclature to explain or give a heads up as to which parts are designated for what for X reason. Everything else on the engine itself was straight forward and went together very smooth. Engine rotates over extremely smooth. Im eager to see the power he produces once its all settled in.

FWIW...all of the new turbos now are coming without bolt on adapters. Most are simply utilizing silicone couplers off the discharge and intake sides of the turbos. But none the less Jono got done what needed after some visuals and he's off running. Still a long road ahead of him but with time things will soon be done.

I was going to ask for clarification but I see it now, the cover on the right hand side of the picture has one hole drilled out so the bolt can go through and into the outlet flange. (as opposed to all the others that go through the flange and thread in to the comp housing flange).
At least this is my guess at it from what I can see and what you have said.

VERY dirty trick if you're not looking for it.

    Hi Glenn,
Well spotted! That is exactly the difference between them. One comp housing has the 3rd hole drilled out. Why they wouldn't just have three threaded holes on both housings, I do not know

    Small update.

There was a small blemish on one of the Xenon headlights. The black insert had small bubbles in it (assuming sun damage). I tried turning a blind eye, but because I knew it was there I was always looking at it.
So a buyer was found for my current headlights & an order for new Xenon headlights was made with Coz @ CZP.
Coz informed me that there was stock coming from Japan & it give it 4-6 weeks. 2 weeks later Coz emailed letting me know the headlights were in. They were sent on the Friday and showed up at my front door Tuesday morning.

    Headlights removed:

Also don't think I've officially posted this yet, but the original SIM300 has been sold. It now belongs to jjonezy & I must say he got it for a very good deal. I just hope he continues to look after it & respect it the way I did.

I took this pic the day before it sold:

    A new chapter has began...

I must say that following your build thread is amazing. The slicktop is definitely looking better and better with every post. Nice work.

Thought you would have kept the SIM#1 wheels for SIM#2

Less show, more go second time around. I'm all for lightweight wheels and wide, sticky tyres.

I just used extra cut & polish to remove all the grim that was coated on. Very easy to do when you unbolt items such as the fuse box, fuel filter bracket etc... :)

Seeing as it is the last weekend of Summer. A friend (MR2) & I gave our cars a wash & took them down to the beach.

So glad Jono you're a fan of Z32's. It's pretty obvious you could be a just as easily choose to have an Aston Martin or similar in your garage instead. Nice also to see such a unique car found the perfect home. And love your standards - the 2k headlights had a tiny blemish, so just bought some brand new ones!
Whoever bought your last car certainly did get a good deal, regardless of price.

I have to express my disappointment at the photos above. Two targa topped cars together, hanging out as slicktops =[

I dropped my Ganador mirrors off to the panel shop this morning. Hope to pick them up early next week with a fresh lick of paint.

Also took some time to clean up the Advan wheels. It took a lot of elbow grease, but I'm happy with the way they've cleaned up (apart from the gutter rashes).

I also installed some interior bits and bobs I had ordered from CZP. Pretty content with how it looks now. Also gave the door jams a good clean.

Exterior still needs a good polish. Hoping to get some time off and plan to go over it with a clay bar, then polish and wax and see how it comes up :)
