instead of finishing the rear end i decided to make more work for myself
tubbed the front and started welding up holes in fire wall.
also took all the wiring out to rewire it with basics.

no different to any other car

why tub it? clearance with the standard inner fenders is really good

We can fit pretty big wheels in our arches stock but we have almost no lock, turning circle on a stock Z is enormous.

  8. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

That has nothing to do with inner fender clearance...

i probably could have got away with standard tubs but i wanted to tidy that area up. i had cut up the headlight brackets and stuff which all looked rubbish.
also changing the v-mount setup and tubs make the ducting easier/simpler, for like 70$ in materials why not

What did you do about all the wiring in the front end?

At this stage i have done nothing about the wiring apart from remove it all, haha. Getting mechanical parts in place and complete then i'll wire everything in situ, not really looking forward to it.

made braided brake lines and put motor and box in. then went to a mates shop and did cooler pipes

Have paid for a spot at Qld drift matsuri on oct 12-13 so car needs to be running and engine run in before then, should be sweet

Nice. Mine won't be there unfortunately but I will. Be good to see this thing out on the track in real life.

Mad piping setup, that'll be stupidly responsive!

  15. It does when you get more angle. I have some nice shiney spots in the inner fender areas from the tire hitting at full lock.

Started the new engine for the first time last weekend! Pretty exciting.
Wiring is 99% complete. Still need to finish thermo fan temp switch, windscreen wipers and a stereo. Only factory wiring that i left is the power window door looms (didnt see the need to rewire/im lazy) and skyline engine loom. Its nice to have ten tonne less wiring haha.

rear end is now tt driveshafts with a gts4 r200 (4.3 ratio). had spacers made to mate the shafts to the narrower diff. not sure what na rears normally are? if they are 6x1 bolt shafts with an r200 then i've probably wasted my time haha

Will take it to a carwash on the weekend and take a pic or two

ryzan come say hi at matsuri, i'll take you for a run if you like

NA rear diff is 5 bolt flange and skinny driveshafts, so you didnt waste your time

whered you get the 4.3 ratio? i was going to go r32GTR with the 4.08 ratio.. 4.3 would be crazy

    SRB-2NV #TEAMROB

    4.3 ratio is from a R32 GTS4.
