    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

you've just got to bin that front bumper man. it's a fair call to say it, but IMO it's even worse than the wing was.

If its the drone that is killing you get an Magnaflow X pipe, they work well (see them a lot on the forum coming up for sale 2nd hand) or if you wanna go new you could always get a merge pipe that I had with my NA, was awesome :)

Can order them from here http://www.surefloexhaust.com.au/xpipe.htm

Greg is an awesome bloke and will look after you.

Its fixed now, but thanks anyway, the guy who did it (dande exhausts) fixed it. What they had was put on semi straights on, they replaced them free for differnt ones from what i understand

    The long journey

OK well last week a bought some "new" throttle bodies to replace the ones on my car which are apparntly rooted?
anyway i decided well to hell with it im gonna polish it, polish it all..
Only then did i relise how long this will take aha.
My brother will be down from queensland in the next couple of months, and that is when ill put it on as well as doing a plenum pull in the process.

Also in the mail is a bomex nose panel, Clear side indiactors, and a few other small items :)

    Update time
1st Off Hope everyone had a great chrissy and new year, and looking forward to a great year of zedding especially because i get my p's
Got a few things done, got a new front bar which was described as a "little" bit of work to make it right turns out there's a shit load of work to do.. there was around 4 layers of paint and 5-6 more layers of bog, all on top of each other..
here's how it stood when i bought it..

It was also cracked pretty much all along the bottom, where it bends from the front of the bar to the bottom, (if that makes sense)
And how it is now after a a fair bit of fibreglass repairs and alot of grinding/sanding out bog and paint. mind you i have never used fibreglass or body filler before, lucky dad used to be a painter and has had alot of experience with this kind of stuff.

will start bogging it up tomorrow.

I was also given a double din touch screen head unit for Christmas
    [IMG]
Mum and Dad wanted to get it professionally installed but after getting a quote of $450 and another person saying they wont touch it cause it was bought off ebay.... but as i was told its meant to be made from the "components" from the big manufactures. Anyway I'm not fussed it works and its fair good quality from the experience I've had with it, apart from the lag it gets when it uses its "3d cube" function thingo. Anyway we decided to install it ourselves and well the hardest part was mounting it. All the wires were the same as the old Sony one I had how convenient :)
We got around the mounting problem by cutting up the metal bracket that was behind the fascia surround.
its not completly glassed in but it will be eventually.

Also i was in queensland over christmas for my brothers wedding. Whilst i was there i pretty much took all of his z parts as he sold his a few months ago and i picked up a pair of nismo rear shocks with lowered springs.
lastly i bought 3 gauges to mount into the 350 Z style gauge pod im waiting on from the UK.

    Interior re trim

I've got good and bad news :\
    the good first
Well I've been busy the last couple of weeks re trimming the z.
I've gone for black suede. Some bits are not completely perfect but I'm happy with it. Doors and the bits next to the seats in the back to do. All up it cost me $70 and a fair few hours of my time.
This was the first bit I did
    [IMG]
    and now for the rest
    [IMG]
And as you can see the gauge pod is in and the gauges are wired up, minus the oil pressure, which ill hook up when i do an oil change in the next couple of weeks.
Now for the bad. My Z had developed a somewhat ticking noise, like putting paper on a pedastool fan. Now at first we thought it was the fan blade, It was almost completely cracked so i purchased a new one but unfortunantly it wasn't it.
Got any ideas on what it could be? timing belt, lifters?

Nice work with the interior (y)

Timing belt doesn't tick AFAIK, lifter tick is more likely.

    Cheers dean :)
Aright, I only suspected the timing belt as my brother said that the same sort of thing happened in his r31.
Pretty sure dad wants to take it to a mechanic but I don't know, he changes his mind worse than a woman sometimes.

Take a video of it and post it up. What area of the engine is it coming from? Is it more audible from above or underneath, left or right?

Hey, Nice work. This was on my list of possibilities, I think the guy said he was a sprayer or something so thats why it had such a good paint job? but over 200k's was a bit worrying. Na's arent as bad as TT's for needing a rebuild every 150k or so and the timing belt can last a bit longer too but the other thing is all the other components are also twice as run in as most other Z's which could mean more problems with suspension and running gear. definately get that all checked out before you (eventually) go TT and want to start pushing it around a few corners ;)

just got a question on what bulbs you got for the pods? I've replaced every bulb in my interior with blue ones except for the pods because i couldnt figure out what ones to get, and every time i ordered some they were the wrong size :/

when are you going to get new Rims?
I'll sell you my 17x7 Advanti's with decent tread on all tyres for 500$ even throw in a set of bolt on NISMO stickers for free :D

*probably should have started this in the Build Thread though ;)
