So does that mean you now have time to fix the minor things on it and get it tuned? :D

    Update: Few More Things

One of the biggest annoyances lately was that everytime I gave her a boot, after I let off the throttle, the idle would hang at ~3000 RPM and I'd have to flick and kick and pull the go-fast pedal until the TB's flicked shut again.

Turns out, all my hours spent trying to come up with bizare solutions were for nothing and I had a very red faced moment today when I realized how simple the fix was.

Goes back to that adage, if you hear hoof beats, think Horsies, not Zebras.

http://youtu.be/RCqoFUBGccY?hd=1 (its difficult to see, but it's there. I suggest going full screen in 720p mode)

Also have finally replaced a few Injector Connectors that needed replacing.

And uploaded a Leaner Tune onto the Nistune.

If all goes to plan, I will be dropping the Gearbox early next week to finally replace the leaking Rear Main Seal and the soonest Mark @ MRC can get me in after, have it finally tuned.

Why are you putting a leaner tune in before dyno'ing?

It's done more then 4000KM since I first turned the key on the new engine. Quite confident it's been Run-in well, have hardly given it much of a boot recently, and I'm sick of paying through the nose on fuel.

I'd say keep what you have in it now - at least you know it's safe. Have you done progressive comp tests... say every 1000km?

No I haven't, but I will be doing so tomorrow after I change out all my plugs. It's developed an intermittent misfire under load at 4000RPM on Cylinder 2 (I haaate this Cylinder, bad history with it, ugh).

Already went back to Rich Tune, made no difference.

    Swapped Coils, made no difference.

Have tested the Injector connectors, all fine. (little tool plug-in thing, you plug into the connector and it lights up when it receives a pulse)

Checked Injector Resistance, seemed fine at 16 Ohms.

Idles fine, rev's fine at idle too just fine. Except when you start driving and give it a bit... misfire.

Plugs look a tad fouled so just going to buy a set of Coppers tomorrow with a 0.8 gap and chuck them in (also kinda why I wanted a Leaner tune).

How do you know it's on #2 under load?

Because just before I thought I fixed it, Cylinder 2 decided to drop. Not sold on the connector I used so I kept fiddling with it, they it suddenly came back, took it out around the block, misfire now only appears under load. Disconnect plug altogether and it runs on 5 Cylinders constantly. Plug it back in, intermittent misfire comes back.

All other Cylinders are reacting normally from what I saw, but number 2 has a mind of it's f'in own.
