Pushed it back yet again. Haven't had time to sort out the last few issues. (Oil leak, Lifter tap & Idle). In addition to a few personal issues over the last few weeks, been running around trying to get things ready, qualifications, etc (while still working full time at my old place) as I start my new job soon. I finish up the old job on 11th April, and start new job little over 2 weeks later on 30th. The way I see it, if I get everything sorted now, I have those 2 weeks to devote to finishing the remaining issues + Tune. All I've managed to do recently is install that Hood Struts Kit only yesterday. (It looks so sick! ) MoulaZX
I've done as much work as most people doing a rebuild take years, in the space of about 6 months. Logic would dictate the shit that you avoid in those 6 months to devote obscene amounts of time to dive into a rebuild, would eventually come back to bite you firmly in the arse... MoulaZX
I have Chris that built your engine at UAS rebuilding mine and Im running 2530s and he reckons ill be able to get 400.
The best i've heard of with GT2530's was 450kw atw on pump on a GTR with killer headwork. Personally i think he'll do a modest ~500rwhp (lol) which i think you'll find not much on the street will keep up with that
Ever heard of Twoogle (two.06L) R32 GTR??, ran consistent low 10's with GT2530's and 500+kw atw and 9 second passes on GT-RS's. Full weight street car too.
I'll have to dig up the SAU post, can't find it atm. I know he did 500 on GT-RS's, and i remember reading 450kw on Gt2530's which could have been flywheel, maybe i just misread the post.
Minor Update: Exhaust Difference Closed vs Open Nothing really major. Just for those curious how the Varex turned out. Two short clips for you to listen to. I prefer the second, only because it dawned on me after to throw my Wing on there for a laugh... oh and I realized some would want to hear the difference at certain RPM while opening/closing it. First RPM comparison was done at 3K RPM (~1:11), the one after was at 4K (~1:15), of course when shes moving it sounds even better (to me at least). Still not Tuned yet, while it hauls ass the ways she is now, its incredibly clear there is so much more potential. Don't want to disappoint ya... So far I've put on about 3800KM since the rebuild. Hehehe. Now are you still gonna hate on me for having 'douche bag' angled Cannons, mate? As with pretty much all Exhaust clips, the clips just don't do it justice. Very happy with the resulting exhaust note. I also have a pair of 3" Resonators to help quieten it down and keep the drone to a minimum. Seems to have worked, though to be honest having the ability to shut it up (which I use a LOT) kinda means any drone issues become redundant. Like I said a while back, I really am over the obscene levels of noise these things can make. This is the ultimate mix of both worlds. Great flow for performance and note for cruises, and very comfortable to drive as a daily, or when you want to actually have a conversation in the car with someone, lol. If I was to give a figure I'd say I drive with them open about 10% of time, maybe less. If you add Sydney Dragway times, when I finally start going again, obviously that figure is going to go way up!
