I am assuming the 2 seater front seats are identical to 2+2 front seats?

It gets hot more than cloth but less than leather.
It is uv protected, so, it doenst hold the sun as much.
There is also colour specific heating just like paints and everything else, black holds the most heat, where as white reflects most of the sun, therefore cooler.
Realisticly, I havent had anybody complaining regarding to excessive heat. Vic, NSW no issues. There are heaps of sets sold to QLD and all were happy as well.

I supply the extra material per sqm basis. Will get back to you on that for pricing.
Normally 2sqm is enough to do the door cards and other little bits. 300zx interior has larger panels and more covered parts. So, by the looking of it, I think 3sqm will be enough. However, still do your calculation. 3 sqm is 3m x 1m
Heaps of people went extreme for FTOs, in terms of interior with leatherette,
I have even supply for full boot and roof lining. I have seen order of 8sqm+

If the seats are same but missing the electric control section, then the part regarding to electric controls need to be ignored in the DIY guide.
From my experience during the installation, this does not affect the form of the seats.

    If it's not leather,

    its not leather.

I agree, the leatherette may be softer, longer lasting, requiring less maintenance etc than leather, but it is still not leather.

I had a similar vinyl in my Jag MK2. For 10 years it stayed soft and nice, required no maintenance, and fooled most into thinking it was leather.
    Great material !

BUT to many people it is cheap vinyl, and it will most likely hurt when you try to sell the car.

Also, it must be installed to look as if done by a professional - nice and tight. Nothing worse than leather lookalike pullover seat covers that don't quite fit. The seats in your pictures look mostly ok, but the cover behind the doors is real crap and spoil the image of your seats.

If you look after your leather seats, they don't crack in 3 years.

Those in my ZED are 15 years now, and no cracks. Bit of wear on drivers side though.

Those in my Soarer are also 15 years, no cracks but a hole worn on drivers seat. Back seats are perfect and passenger sear very good.

How much to do the seats in real leather ?

correct, hence the price. You can go through 3 sets of leatherette covers with the price of geniune leather.
The change of of the interior is spectacular. As I mentioned before, I use the highest quality leatherette and it looks exactly like leather.

Correct. It requires minimal maintenance, dont fade or crack.

I agree that subcontiously people have hesitation about the leatherette, hence the reason why the second and third group buys are much larger than the first. Once the photos starts to be taken and come online, positive buyer feedback pushes up the sales. I have organised many 2nd and 3rd round group buys or more than 50sets ordered. It is hard to find a member without these covers in both FTO Aus and UK club.

I cant agree to that. Compared to stock cloth covers, leatherette looks ace, and it will definately attract more customers, if not add more to the final sale value.

It does not have to be installed by professional. There is no complications to it, hence where the big savings comes.
I have posted the ebay link before. none of these covers fit by professionals, but all by the buyers. In fact I havent had any buyer that hired someone to do the fittings.
The covers are tight as they can get.

Not sure what you mean about the cover behind the door not looking right?
It is pretty much the exact copy of the stock cloth trim. Thats how they are out of the factory originally.

Will get back to you on this, as well as options for microsuede, etc...

Clarification - this is NOT a group buy.

Just incase anyone was wondering. MaxFromAus can be considered a business as his products are sold on a for-profit commercial basis.

Not to impune Max or the products in any way (they look great IMO).

Max is welcome to advertise his product in the For Sale by Business section (where I have moved the original thread).
