Why don't you just jack the car up?
That way, you don't need a hoist, and you can still get under the car.

theres no flat ground where i live and the jack's really old and doesnt lift the car much off the ground

Attempting to remove my Bomex wing. Problem is, two of the bolts are free spinning. I've tried undoing them with pliers while putting pressure on them, no chance. The bloody things just won't come out. Can't drill them out as they will just spin with the drill bit. Any other ideas?

Are the bolts pointing upwards into the wing?

Possible to cut the heads off of them, pulling the shafts up/out when lifting off the wing?

try pushing the wing upwards to create pressure on the "inside" of the wing.

Garb them in a vice grip and try drilling them out?

Or maybe grab them with the vice grip and wiggle and pull them out?

Yes the bolts are up ward facing. Problem is they are both inside the hatch (not corners) and there isn't a lot of room. One of them is pretty much all the way out, but won't unscrew any further, the other is free spinning up tight.
I got the dremel out with a small cutting wheel and the end that holds the cutting wheel snapped off.

EDIT: Tried other suggestions also. The section that the bolts are screwed into are free spinning inside of the wing! Grrr!

Those cutting wheels snap more easily than Chili when Black Baz joins the conversation. Keep it up, best solution IMO.

Wasn't the cutting wheel that busted, but the bit that holds it in place. Plus the other bolt isn't loose enough to cut off.

Picked up the reconditioned HP Envy's...

Will be fitting them up later. Kudos to Josh at Alloy Action Brisbane (0401 754 252) for such a great job. Haven't cleaned them, but there are no imperfections whatsoever.

Had all gutter rash removed, rust from the nut holes etc.

Removed the polished lip so now the spokes and lip are the same alloy machined look - they have also been clear coated.

    They look brand new.

Haven't done anything directly to the zed today, but I got a new AFM, organised a Nistune to pick up tomorrow night, and booked my full license :)

47 Days, 13 hours and 38 seconds until I get booooost :zlove:

Wheels look real clean, Ns-Zed. I prefer them with a machined lip though so they can be polished to a mirror finish. Then it makes it look more like a two piece wheel like it is pretending to be :p

Bypassed the black box that tells the light on the dash when a globe is out. It has intermittently caused the brake lights not to work and Id had enough of it. I plan on fitting led globes soon anyway so there will be no annoying dash light when that happens.

Yep totally agree and I stewed over this for a while. However, came down to time and money. Very surprised at how clean they came out.
Anxious to see how they will look up against C7P Red (Toyota 86).

Installed my z1 heatsinks. Quite thicker than stockers. Butt dyno didn't notice anything but oh we'll hopefully they help me go a bit quicker.

Ordered a aem wideband to mount on steering column.

Me and fellow zedder littlechicken modified my blinkers ready for my install of Z1's Big Arse heat sinks. I currently have the original Z1 SMIC installed. The Z1 BA SMICs are the same width and length as the original Z1 SMIC (4.5" x 8") but height is 10" vs 7.25", thus requiring blinker modification.
