UAS bellmouth, but they aren't even on the engine yet, it was the hot side of the turbo that was fouling.

    Progress is progress is progress

Heaps more done today, if I say thanks again to Alex the build will probably implode :p

Starting off with the simple stuff, the S2 "Halo" wing was removed. God damn I never realized brazilian looked so damn good...

Finally pulled the Tommy Kiara wing out of the wrapping for the second time since I've had it and test fitted it. Such a nice wing, could easily be OEM.

Having an fight in my mind deciding if I want to run it brazilian after seeing it today...

The front mount, radiator and oil cooler were all setup as well, along with some of the piping.

And the Escort front bar got another test fit, with the cooler behind it this time. Can't wait to have it all fitted 100% and painted, it looks amazing.

Awesome wing, definitely run it. I don't think brazilians suit 2+2s. That wing runs with the lines of the 2+2 the best out of all the non OEM wings.

Are you planning to paint the moulded mud flaps the same colour as the body? It would come out really well IMO.

You haven't had a look around your car from a medium distance yet. The 2+2 with no wing is awkward as hell and looks damn ugly from some angles. Go the wing.

Cooler looks beefy... until you fit the front bar and damn near the whole bottom tank is blocked!

The mud flaps will be staying black, will match the twin z diffuser when I get around to buying one ;)

I need to push it out of the garage and take another good look at it. The brazilian just makes the ass look so fat, sets the roof wing off nicely too.

I noticed the cooler was being blocked, not much room to bring it up, but I'll have a play around with it when I get the time.

Going past Enzed today to grab some 90? fittings to finish off the oil cooler, completing the oil system for now :)

Looks like with some sight trimming of the headlight buckets and redrilling of the mounting brackets you could shift it up about an inch. I'd be doing at at the minimum to get some more balance in the cooling.

hope you have the long cable Selin - soooo much crap underneath your nose panel!

    proud of you dude

You know me, I'll avoid any drilling or cutting into the car unless absolutely necessary, I might be able to lift it with a bracket, but I'll definitely do something. What happens if I leave it as is, hypothetically?

Oh, plans changed, selin kit was sold last week, going a different route, but that won't be till later :)

intercoolers work as a big heat sink, not like a radiator, they absorb the spikes in temp into the body of the cooler and slowly let it off to the air..

aluminium transfers the heat along itself so fast its ridiculous.. youll find intercooler temps to be pretty consistent between the top and bottom tanks just from conduction.. ally isnt like steel.. its conduction speeds are intense, for example, when your welding it, the piece 30cm from the welding area gets burning hot within seconds

Wouldn't worry about the cooler -I have same and at 23psi with repeated 600hp runs the intake temps (measured just before the throttle body) are only 10* ambient. If you can make it better then go for it -but let's be honest it works pretty bloody well as is. If you can find a way to make a measurable improvement I'll take two.

Thanks for the solid information guys, that makes life easier. Will still see if I can bring it up a little.

Last night pulled a long stint, getting the gearbox in, installing the UAS one piece clutch line, bleeding the clutch (which was a breeze with the single piece line), installed all the piping and installed the UAS bellmouth dumps.

Motor look like a packet of skittles, ignore that...

Still missing the correct actuator bracket from CZP, as two drivers side ones were sent... Other than that, the motor is ready to start. I'm hoping to kick it over for the first time tomorrow, will update then.

Yup, not much else to jack from safely in that position.

get the evolution on! what intake piping is that?

  18. bRACKET

    bRACKET Do Right Dean

Yeah the mufflers and H pipe can go on, they won't bolt up to the dumps of course. After the dumps I'm getting the cats welded to a flange, so it'll all bolt together nicely, no permanent welds.

No idea on the intake piping, was a hideous chrome before I sand blasted and powder coated them. **** TT hard pipes are a pain in the ass.
