The Snowy Mountains Cruise, organised by KEZA, has been a resounding success, with 14 Z32's, a solitary 350Z, and 2 Motorized Trike Hang-Gliders taking part. All participants had an opportunity to drive on some of the best mountain roads in Australia, if not the world.
    Pics to follow shortly.

Franz was treated to a special experience, when he was taken up in a Motorized Trike Hang-Glider, for a flight that culminated in several fly-bys of the Talbingo Dam wall, reservior and Talbingo Mountain, so that he could film a display of Zeds parked along the top of the dam wall.

In a display of car control that left everyone stunned (during a "special" competition stage on Saturday), Franz & KEZA finished equal 1st, KEZA with a dazzling 0 to -1600 score @ 115kph, and Franz with a 0 to -1600 @ 116kph. :p
MikeB completed the tri-fecta by gaining 3rd place on the podium with a speed of 91kph, after previously being exceedingly well behaved and giving no indication of what was to come.

All placegetters will receive letters of congratulations from the NSW Government, after a day of competition that saw the remaining entrants being booked-in for Sphincter Relaxation Therapy.

Grant deserves a special mention for his spirited driving of his Z32-based ride-on mower.

Well Done KEZA, a truly great cruise, with some excellent people, great weather, and fantastic scenery.

I hope everyone made it home in safety, Lynn and I had a terrific time, and once again, met more new friends to add to the growing list of people we hope to see regularly in future.

    Thanks for a memorable weekend.

    Cheers
    Lloyd & Lynn

P.S. To all those who missed this cruise, I hope you can live with yourselves!:thumbsup:

    Bit of a write up

Left Sydney friday morning, met up with the south coasters and Franz at Suttons Forest, from there travelled to Wakefield park to give Franz a look at the circuit, where we were greeted by hundereds of classic sports cars practicing for the weekends championships, from there travelled the back road to Queanbeyan for lunch by passing Canberra.
Then onto Cooma for the overnight stay, dinner at the RSL club followed by a few ales.
Saturday morning filled up with fuel $1.22.9 a litre (ouch) met up with the Canberra crew and everyone else giving us a total of 15 Z32's and a 350Zed, then headed off to Thredbo for lunch stopping at Berridale for for some wine tasting (just what you need before a mountain cruise), some caught the chair lift to the top of the mountain for a look and throw a few snowballs.
From there we headed off to Talbingo for the overnight stay, passing through Tom Groggin,Khancoban,Cabramurra, with some of the best mountain roads and scenery to be seen, 100's of kilometers of twisty, winding, uphill, downhill, straights, where you could test every facet of the Zed, pity Mr plod got in the way and spoiled it for some, $1600 fines are nothing to be sneezed at.
After dinner and a few more ales at the Talbingo country club and the post mortems of the days events every body headed off to bed getting ready for the next days events.
Sunday morning after breakfast at the club again we headed off on a private tour of the Tumit no3 power station, enormous feat of engineering (water pipes thet you could drive a double decker bus through gives you some idea of the place), from there up to the top of the dam wall for a photo shoot with motorised hang gliders, Franz was nominated as the photographer to go up mainly because everyone else took a step back and lets face it he's only a sand groper, it was either him or the Skyline driver from Vic, their both dispensable,LOL.( you will have to wait till he gets a chance to post the pics, he was last seen heading off to Mount Panorama for a few laps ,hope somebody tells him thats only a 60k zone too.)
From there we headed off to Gundagai for lunch where we said our goodbyes and headed off home.
Thanks Keza and son Paul for organising one of the best cruise's iv'e been on, on roads that are normaly covered in snow, you should look at making this a annual event as i would definately come back again as i'm sure would every one else.
PS don't beleive Franz's sig of reformed hoon, he's still a hoon. LOL

    Awesome Cruise!!!

I've done alot of cruising in my time and without a doubt, this was the best one I've been on yet!

Yep, $1600 is gonna hurt the hip pocket, but I don't lose any points and therefore keep my license! Thinking about it, 56Kph over the limit would see me lose my license and be done with dangerous driving in WA!

Thanks to Kerry and Paul for organising the weekend and to everyone else for being so friendly to a Westerner and giving me the chance to go up in the glider - was simply awesome!!!

Big thanks to Grant for letting me take his zed for a spin through some awesome roads. Huge thanks to Caroline for letting me drive all the fun roads and organising accommodation etc for me.

To top it off, Caroline and me headed to Bathurst for a few laps of Mt Panorama. My first time seeing the track. No traffic and a few scouting laps meant I could have a lil fun across the top of the mountain ;)

This definately won't be a weekend I'll be forgetting in a hurry!

I'll be posting my pics as soon as I can. :)

Thankyou, Franz, for my new background pic!

Was that taken from the hang-glider, or does the road continue up to that vantage-point?
    Looking forward to the rest!

Correct me if Iam wrong >>

but in the photo, from the bottom up is,
Chris, Caroline, Kerry, Tony (new member) & Simon.
You done quite well, considering you were hanging out of the glider to take this picture.
You might also admit, that you were in the glider cause you were the smallest & lightest person available, who was expendable.
    ;):LOL::LOL::LOL:

    Paul was >>

only home on R&R, so jumped at the chance of going on the cruise.:)
The only organising that he managed during his R&R, was to empty out the Bar Fridge & the Food supplies:LOL::LOL::LOL:
But it was great to have him along on the cruise as Joan wasn't feeling well. Just gotta teach him, as navigator, to recognise Pork when he sees it on the side of the road, cause the driver was busy with keeping it on the black stuff.:LOL::LOL:
    Cheers

Both sorry and glad I missed it >

Looks like it was an awesome cruise - but as the Z was laid up in hospital I didn't get to do this or the GOR cruise :( :( :(.

Then again, if I had gone, Murphy's Law could have seen me get on the podium on that track test(!) and lose a motor on the way home through a doubtful cam belt tensioner! The Z would have gone down the back of the driveway and hidden for 12 months. As it is, she's back on the road and looking forward to Goulburn/Wakefield in March. Catch up with you northeners then.

Is THIS all time head turner or what>>>

This is OZZ,s magnificant Zed, certainly had everyone looking. Could have charged for photos at Maccas when we stopped there. How does it rate out of 10 for looks, in my opinion it has to be a 9+
