By moving the cams around you can hold them open longer on the intake stroke therefore increasing the air and fuel charge in the cylnder for a bigger bang and more power. Be happy with a 1.09 Matt, best is a 1.10.3 so far, run some 1.08s when i had a run in the slot car.
Well good luck run...i'm sure you will! I understand thats the reasoning behind it... I will have to read more into it. Cams I understand more lift, longer durations and overlap but cam gears I have to learn.
