Should have gone Z1 with silicone hose outlets . JWT still use the stock 3 bolt outlets on the comp housing.
The turbo outlet, where it gets fed to the cooler. If it retains the OEM flanged outlet as Rob says it will be a choke point, best to run the standard Garrett outlet with a silicone joiner.
Can't see it making a huge difference -both feeding the same size outlet pipe so it's expanding pretty quickly at the point where gas is hottest. I suppose you could make the argument that every little bit counts but I doubt you are going to see a significant difference (all else being equal) by the time the treads turn the rollers.
gosh this is taking its time! BUT .. turbos arrived the other day, just having some braided oil feed lines and stainless oil return lines put with them and some gaskets. GTX2863R turbos , Everything is now together so just awaiting my crate, Still havnt decided with A/M fuel regulator to go with. theres my weekly update. Enjoy ,
Hey man Have you or could you put a set of verniers across the intake on the comp housing to measure the diameter??? Matt.
Soon as they are in my physical possession yes otherwise I may ask JP when it all arrives to do the same -
the adaptor looks tapered on the inside ..to reduce it to stock intakes z1 have 2 types available - for stock intake 53mm and the upgaded 2.5" intakes
Correct - jwt (which I have) has a tapered intake to reduce it down to stock sized intakes - they do have a option for larger intakes and z1 has the option also for those running 2.5" intakes .
Getting excited The graph is comparing gt725's at 26psi on c16 stock intake pipes To gtx2867r @20psi with bigger smic and 2.5" intake piping on pump fuel I seem to have the right platform building to make some decent numbers
Update TOUCHDOWN!!! everything is finally together in AUS and at Unique Auto Sports awaiting the cars delivery (wednesday) . Few pics of it arrived and pulleys treated with a anti corrosive agent,
Overdue update So it's been a bit of a road to here but it's coming along nicely . JP and dave (UAS) have been assembling my engine ready to drop back into my Z. GTX turbos all bolted up to the AMS manifolds and heat shield fitted-oil feed line and return lines set up- Upper plenum is next to go on but rails need to be set up for twin feed first- As you can see in the last page I even still have Nissan part stickers on the new sump lmfao :=p (old one had a small dint in it and I had gotten nearly new everything else so why not the sump) Hope to update this soon
Jees man. Dragging ya feet. Hoped you would have had this in the car by now. Looking good though. Alan and I are dropping the new animal in the car on Wednesday. Its going to be close who finished first.
Lol I uploaded on my phone and I didn't have a resize option- besides bigger is better hahaha And I'm not dragging anything 'brezzo. Lol You guys don't have to modify fuel rails and a new fuel pump/exhaust So I'm still a little behind
