i don't get it, i am insured with shannons and have been since i was 22 (am now 24) and have a tt, my old one was insured for 19k and with a few mods the value was upped to 23k which they did pay out on when it was stolen, they charged me 1900 the first year i had it and 1400 the second year i had it, and all i had to pay was 800 excess, but i have had 100% clean driving record so maybe that helped me get covered in the first place plus i had insurance with just cars before on a slightly modified car, so i am not really sure why they say they don't insure under 25's as i am not 25 till next year and a mate had insurance on a r33 skyline with them at 23 too

Where you live/garage the car plays a big part with Shannons. Not only with their premiums but also what they will and will not cover.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

We were talking about this issue yesterday, Caz! Russ (ZedHed) garages his car in a multi-car lock-up garage in Carlton (Melb), but because of the suburb, the insurance premiums are huge!

When you were talking to Shannons, you only had to mention that you were a member of this Association, and that would have satisfied their requirements on being an enthusiast.:confused:

    Can vouch for Unique too.

35 year old rating one, 91 TT with mods insured at 23k for under $1200 per year which I pay quarterly.

Been with them with various cars for about 10 years now.

    Regards
