Trav the most important lessons in life are the ones that hurt most. Glad your okay and not hurt, car is repairable but the most important thing is to get your license back... get your mate (the one that was hiring you for the Toll job) to write up a letter that he was going to hire you as one of his drivers etc, this wont get you off but it could go easy on you... oh and get some legal advice, dont know how it works down in victoria but in nsw TWU(transport workers union) had free legal advice, find out what you can and you might have to join but they help out, a few at guys at TNT where done for DUI and got 6months to a year, as long as you dont have any previous convictions it might go your way. Like I said it wont get you off but it could buy you some sympathy with the courts. All the best with it mate..
"What an idiot! i respect a cockaroach more then someone who drinks and drives " where i come from, this is considered unreasonable, as was my response
I think he was referin to the 'tone' of voice (if that works on text) every one just needs a chill pill. I've got them at $2.00 a pop, just transfer the money to mu account and I'll send them in 6-8 weeks
Listen you goose, if I was a sniper I'd have had you squarely in my sights. Show us one error in the comments that ak has expressed in this thread....Hello! Anyone home? There is no excuse for drink driving. There is even less excuse for defending anyone who drinks and drives. To do either is stupid, but at least Trav has acknowledged his error(and thankfully he wasn't hurt). How about you, when can we expect to hear you acknowledge your mistaken comments?
I'm sure he wouldn't have decided before he was drunk to drink'n drive.. he might have thought he'd sleep in the car before hand or something but alcohol just turns people stupid sometimes, hell I've broken into a car that I thought was mine when I was drunk even though I'd never even owned a 4WD!
man I have always respected a man that can call somone an idiot face to face but it takes heaps of guts to type in an insult over the net, grow up mate.. we all have done things in life that we regret doing, thats why its life, "he thats without sin cast the first stone" I can reassure you none of us can fall into this catagory....
preach, preach, preach ...!!! .. thought that we were looking to remove the religious element from the forum... mafi does not need sactimonious sermons from the sinless virgin on the mount ..!!! .. he knows and has acknowledged what he has done and it's consequences .. so put a cork in it, the holier than thou bit has worn way too thin....
lol , so beer goggles work for cars too then , a 4by turns into a zed like a fat bird looks like a bikini model
Australian Story Link - Just Plain Sobering !!!!! (no pun intended) I watched all the links. That article has more impact than 100 drink driving ads. That guy made a really stupid mistake, and it had the worst possible consequences. Compared to that Mafi you were lucky. The loss of licence etc is a small price to pay. We all make mistakes. You can't control the luck but can learn from what's happened. Cheers, Peter
