COWRA ZEDFEST: GOLF ..maybe/maybe not...??

.. possibly, some not so good news for the COWRA easter sunday, early morning golf game ....

.. the easter weekend is the COWRA golf club's big annual tournament .... they will not know until about 14-15 march whether they will be able to fit us in for an early morning, 9 holes tee off ..... :bash: :bash:

.. i will keep this under watch and update when anything more is known ... waaarrgghh ..!!!!

.. we may just have to go hunt for easter eggs ...

 

Don't dispair Barry...there are several other options. Cowra being the premier golf club in the immediate vacinity means that yes, unfortunately there will be a tournament on Sunday morning. There is however a number of courses within a 20min drive from cowra that can offer us a game I'm sure. A few that spring to mind are Lyndhurst and Canowindra with Blayney being about 40min (Lyndhurst would be my suggestion based on them being members of the Central West Distric Golf Association) They are 9 hole courses I think so they should be ok for what we need.

.. the COWRA CLUB tournament is a BIG two day event, sat and sunday ...whether we can be accommodated will depend on the number of bookings they get for this "biggie" .... :bash: :bash: :bash:

..a 40 minute trip for a 9 hole game is a bit long .. but 20 minutes would be OK...

need to get on the job and make a booking ... looking to tee-off around 7:30 as per COONA and WARWICK ... 9 HOLES only to enable golfers to organise for the "show and shine" ....

it would be helpful to have an idea of those planning to join in the golfZfesT... yes, ANDY, there will be a winners priZe ...!!! .. so just add you name to the list of known starters, below ......

easy peasy, lad .... and having an N/A makes it easier

still ..... i can get two golf bags and travel bags in my N/A without a problem ..

.. P.S. i plan to book a couple of motorised golf carts .. and most golf clubs also have hand pull buggies for hire .. this could save you travel/boot space in your zed ...

Is the golf serious, or just a bit of fun?
I would like to play but dont want to embarrass myself as i havn't picked up a club in over a year.

If no-one minds playing with a hack then I'm in.

.. handicap not necessary .. my initial thought is to group those with a handicap together .. and to let the non-handicappers have their fun, unpressured by any golfing whizzes ...:biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:

NOTE FOR WIZ:.. no course record as yet .. in fact no course as yet ..!!! .. still looking at options given that the COWRA course may not be available ... ( they have a big two day tournament on at that time .. and may not be able to fit us in ...

Of course Baz, all Zed owners have moths in their wallets. The little blighters keep eating the dough & all have Zed membership.
Yet to find any Zed owner with more money than needed & able to afford the up keep of ownership.
Also have better half playing golf, as you would also.

non-starter for cowra ... easter is a "heavy" for sportscraft/myer, so no go especially as we are also locked into a weeks golf on the sunshine coast, early march ... (tuning up for Cowra ..lol...!!!).....
