[AUS] ZED FEST EASTER...

Okay, all of the above are great ideas...>>>

But I still need to know within the next 3 weeks if we are to book Cowra for EASTER Long Weekend in 2008!
As I said in the original post, alot of car clubs pick NSW towns over EASTER for their car shows because it is fairly central (I know Franz and the guys in Townsville etc, it is not close for you, but I can't wave a wand). So if you would like me to organise Cowra I am more than happy to do so or if someone else has an idea for Easter 2008 (remembering it is 4 days only) put it in this thread and debate it....
Need to know in the next 3 weeks....

What can I say, I live in ACT - could almost commute. It's a lovely part of the countryside. Just post where and when.:thumbsup:

Also, I believe a TASSIE CRUIZE has its own thread - and planned for earlier than 2008. I'd be in that too. :thumbsup:

Because of the size of the country, we're pretty much restricted to

central NSW for our meets . . . approximately equal distance (Yes, I know, Melb - Coona does not equal Townsville - Coona) for about 80% of the members (I did this calc when we were talking about Gilgandra 2 years ago). Too far north and the Vics and SA zedders will tend not to go, too far south and we miss out on the QLDers (that could be an advantage). Where ever we have the meet, its generally too far for the WA team, (although some are adventurous enough to do it (Brad and Natalie in PHATT)), and central Australia (eg Alice Springs) is probably too far for everyone except Kaz (Zakkaz001), who lives there.
Tassie seems like a good idea, but NSW and QLD members are looking at $700plus just to get there... too much to ask for a weekend!

I was born in Cowra and lived there for 24 years....I haven't been back in a few years, but it was a bit of a boring place to live. Not a lot to do, however that may have changed.

One thing to be said about country towns is we can probably get use of the airport strip if anyone wanted to do drag events etc. I know other car clubs have used Cowra airport for that.

All that said, even if it is Cowra, I'm still in for 2008....If I haven't written another Z off by then

The main problem with events (even on airstrips) is the public liability insurance. You need to have the holder of the policy for the venue agree to a cover the event.

Anna and I spend our Easter holiday period at the coast (Moruya Heads). This time is normally set aside for owners to carry out repairs to common areas, do some serious gardening, clean up the grounds and afterwards have a big BBQ. It's perhaps the only time of the year when most of us are able to get together for a big working bee and a chat.

I think Cowra is a good middle ground choice and I hope all those who attend have a great time. You are a very brave person to volunteer to get the ball started and I hope all goes well for you.

PS: If we sell the place prior to Easter 2008 then of course we will attend the Z Fest. I reckon that I should have my Z33 by Easter 2008, the hard part will be selling the Z32's (except for two of them.....maybe).

Hello blondie, I am very interested and keen to be there. I have to miss out on the SEQ next year so I really want to go to a ZeD FeSt I have missed to many . So I am very keen. and by then i will be organised.

Looks like this has been brought back up, I know its months late, but I'd be VERY interested in this for 2008! Should have the car JUST the way I want it by then!
