    Great Idea's but.....

shouldn't we really be looking at the criteria and priority first everybody? This would ensure the best possible mix for all concerned.

    Things like:
    - Everybody Budget for the weekend (excluding petrol off course)
    - Roads for cruising
    - Places to get drunk (no names mentioned):p
    - Places for evil worship (fffffaaa *cough cough*):p
    - Scenic BBQ areas???
    - Type of accomidation
etc etc etc bla bla bla

Maybe Blondie could draw up a survey?????

    Who has suggestions for criteria?????

Just a thought....How was Coona decided on???

    Wicked out:cool:

I think it's a fantaismic idea, but perhaps not for zedfest?

zedfest has typically (from what I know)...(which isn't alot)...been easter long weekend territory, and ol Barry brings up his point of travel time too/from van diemens land will kinda rule out any decent sorta time in down there. You really need a good week to do it properly. So i propose this. We'll get some EOI for a week long adventure down south on the spirit of van diemens for say october/november (possible months, i dunno). Get some of the boys from down there to come up with an awesome tour we can do, a few stages, some nice B&B's and a stop at shipsterns so I can surf. Get some prices and away we go!!

    Andy Mac's Idea !!

    I like,

Its a good point, maybe not for everyone and not for Zfest, but since the idea i have become very interested in doing this..

How many people think they are able to plan a week of to go on a decent z adventure?? I'd be happy to leave the mainland on a holiday down there, it would be a great experience to really get bonded with the z community and if you ask me would be more interesting then going on a solo trip.. (imagine the stories to follow) And as i said b4 i was wishing it could be a 2007 event, is that now a possibility? I to will join you for a surf Andy, i love it.. well im a dedicated eski lid rider anyway!

Tassie wouldn't know wat hit it!! :p

    I think a poll i a good idea 2.

Id love a week in Tassie with you guys, they have some awesome roads,

and beautiful places to visit. Jono's place for one
I agree its not suitable for Zed Fest 2008 though, as that is for the Easter weekend, not long enough to go to TAS.
    Caz.. :)

Well I better start planning the parking areas on my property then:LOL:

There is no way you can do Tassie in a weekend. Boat from Melbourne takes 10 hours and from Sydney it's 20!

    1 week is a much better plan:thumbsup:

TT (Targa )TASMANIA CruiZe - December?

I think we should start another thread for this?

A week to 10 days in late November/early December sailing ex Sydney would be great. Alternately, February/March?

How many could actually get the time off work though?

That's a loooong time!!! yeah, probably not such a good idea for a weekend then, hey?

well, depending on the time of year and how much notice we have, i could definitely get a week off work!!!

Yeah, my dad has also said they have some awesome roads down there!!!

Does sound great but back to my question at the top?..>>

Does anyone else have anywhere besides Tassie (which I agree is a fantastic idea for a 1 week holly, by the way NDSOC do a great Targa Tassy run, worth looking in to as well)for the Zed fest 2008? Cowra is still looking good according to most posts here. Any more suggestions????
