Maybe I was looking at getting a stuffed motor coz I want to do a full rebuild anyway. How much you want for the box?
This sums it up nicely Gonna be a massive job! Inline 6 in a Zed is in my too hard basket, thats for sure And you are doing it outside?? I love my warm cozy shed
I really hope that you go ahead with this.. but i doubt it that you will. But like i said i hope you do, i want to see more single turbo Z's in Aus. No one wants to experiment in Aus with there Z's, its either they cant be arsed, no money, time, space or motivation. This is why the US Z scene is miles ahead and always will be.
Thanks man and trust me i wont spend as much as u did on ure vh ;/ im loving the hate from a certain few people, just gives me more determination. I WILL NOT BE BACKING OUT OF THIS NO MATTER WHAT.[TIS]
Good luck mate, keen to see how this goes, I've also thought about doing this as everyone raves about how great the 2jz is, but I think I'm too much of a purist haha.
I'm not seeing much hate, just people that know what they are doing thinking you are biting off a hell of a lot. You don't even know which gearbox you are going to use?? And no way this will cost less than a VH conversion. You priced a 2J 6 speed half cut? And have you seen twins on a 2J in a RHD zed? I could see them fitting a LHD zed, I think the brake master will get in the way. Lots of custom parts will be needed lol Depends on the crane, mine is good for 500kg. They have a safety factor in them anyway. I always pull engines and gearboxes with the crane at full extension.
Go twins... Everything is better in pairs :zlove: Or you can go single... but remember what you are missing out on ^^
That will be a feat. I don't see any hate. Just realism. I for one hope you do manage to get this done but it's gonna be a long expensive road IMHO. Are you DIY'n or getting someone to do most of the work?
