I knew someone would beat me to it! OK Today I fitted the first of the full production version to a customers car, the prototype had been fitted to three or four with no drama, complete success, no drama, five minute install (if it had issues I would have either sorted the whole run or scrapped and started again if needed). also tested on three other zeds. I fitted a 2mm thick washer between the shroud and the subframe on the three rear bolts, you don't have to but I did just to make a neater job. I wont include hardware with the shroud as people will have their own ideas on what is best & it could lead to damage during transport in any case. The one pictured was fitted with stainless steel washers and cap screws, the owner is most likely lying under the car polishing it as we speak  SUPER nice Zed this one :zlove: The subjects: From directly below: The drivers side: From behind the passengers side: The view roadkill might get:
How about I give it a week for people to put their hands up and then we (I say we but I hope someone else will LOL!) can sort out sending small batches to various points. This will save on the international shipping and will enable better packaging etc without massive cost per item. If anyone is super keen to get in right away please send me a PM & I will advise paypal account or bank account etc and we will get it underway ASAP. At this stage we have one person in Perth who has offered to help out, a couple in Tassy interested in purchase and a few up the East cost by the looks?
No dramas, I'm in no rush. I just want one at some point. Not like its not going to run without one, lol. See above reply to Arvin. Also, bit of a side note, any chance to develop an aluminum version of the plastic bit north of your current splash guard in the bottom picture? They just seem impossible to find. I think Chad_ has been hunting one forever now. MoulaZX
I'm 100% in, my sump got a beating from a horrible ditch in the road that I didnt see... Wish I had this then
I am qiet willing to look after the Tassie side so if any Tassie guys/girls want !! let me know:zlove:
While this will give some protection from objects entering the engine area in front of the sub frame it wont help in preventing the sump striking the road or bumps etc. Sadly with the sump sitting just below the sub frame it makes it fairly tricky to build something substantial enough to take heavy impacts but not be a massive bit of engineering. Anything light would simply get smashed into the sump very easily making it pointless being fitted in the first place.
It's quite a nice fit... Looks good too... You might have a PM coming regarding something else as a little "project"... It may be turned down though. PM coming.
I can get VIC orders send to me if interested...i live in Bundoora 3083 and work in the CBD so can possibly drop off if on the way... I am definitely in, just need to wait a fortnight as thats when i get paid...if that is allrite with everybody else... Mungyz will you be making the other shield that Romonoski had in his picture he had posted up? Also any confirmation as to whether or not it will fit clearly with the 2k front? Abraham
I know its not a shield, just.might be of some assistance if I decide to do battle with a speedbump and his cousins.
here u go http://www.conceptzperformance.com/...=Body&CA=43&UID=20120329024749203.175.187.131 or one like mine which should fit the 2kspec front bar. http://www.conceptzperformance.com/...ar_Type=300&UID=20120329024749203.175.187.131
EASY as to make, will get a prototype done up and look at getting a small batch done, price should be about the same as the eng one, shipping shouldn't be an issue as long as it doesn't go over the size limits for posting. I normally use 3mm think plastic sheet for this part so it has some flexibility but if people want in ally then no problem at all.
I'm up for one too. I can wait till moulazx and Arvin are ready and combine the shipping. I like the idea of the front one aswell so if this comes about soon then maybe it can all be combined.
