w.end pretty much finished the batt tray area. its shiny but thats because its just fresh i took the pic just after i sprayed it its 2nd coat. this is the spray on deadening stuff.

next ill be spraying this stuff from underneath aswell, as when ive welded etc its obviously taken off the deadening stuff from underneath aswell..

i also welded in the posts as rob260 pointed out, this way there is no holes in the floor so no exhaust gasses or tyre smoke :D burning rubber can come through the floor....

also did some more deadening. ill prob spray the deadening stuff underneath that i need to, and the rear wheel arches before i put the rear bar back on.

    thanx man coming along slowly.

its just an underbody deadening spray. i got it from a paint supplies shop and i spray it on using the compressor.

How much of a drop in height do those springs give? Also, the front looks much lower than the rear, or is it just the camera angle?

Props, though. It looks like a very messy job, but I'm sure you'll be very pleased when it's all over. :)

sorry no idea how much of a drop they give from stock, as i had coilovers on before these. the boot is empty prob why its sitting so high, still have sound proofing to put in, sub boxes, amps, battery plus interior to go in so should be lower than that once done.

the fronts still have the coilovers on hence why its much lower in the front. the kybs will go on the front aswell when i get there...

thanx man it should be pretty sweet once finished im looking forward to cruising in it when its done.

batt in boot setup is complete now.

big batt clamps, circuit breaker, fat lugs etc...

ground is passed through, and goes to chasis for a proper and strong ground. the bracket the ground is bolted to on chassis was striped from the paint etc in the bolt area...

    cabling secured and protected.

continues through veh, still waiting on the pos pass through thingi to go through the metal and outside to the starter. should receive that on monday and install and put starter motor back in.

all wiring cleaned up in the back and under tail lights, washer bottle back in place. boot is ready for sound proofing now.

    continued work on boot:

placed the board and cut out an area so i can still quickly disable the whole system from the circuit breaker

step 1 of sound proofing done for the boot area. this is ccf (closed cell foam) which will isolate the mlv (mass loaded vinyl) from touching the body. the board area has been cut out so i can still remove it if i want to do any connections etc for future that ill be doing.

finished off the internal wiring for the batt.

this is the positive pass through thing for cable to go outside.

cabling all nicely tucked away to ensure doesnt get crunched etc by anything and connected securely to the positive pass thru.

this is it from the outside. this is next to the starter motor so itd be a short cable from this point to the starter motor. as u can see in the pics the starter motor is not in place. for now i will be connecting the original cable aswell to the starter motor so the connection is still running to the car, alternator etc. i will be removing that cabling when i pulll the engine out next year and put my own cabling, ill be doing it from starter to a distro box then branch from there to alternator etc...

should have the starter motor connected etc tomorow or the day after see if i have time to work on it...

ehhh slow but itll get there

so now the battery setup is 100% complete.

cable from pos pass thru thingi to starter

then put some heat wrap over to protect, didnt put it all the way as it can act as a conductor...

cant see much but its all in place, starter motor back in, and cars started again today :)
