About time I dragged a project from Non-technical to a build thread. Found a little doerupper while searching a local wreckers. 5/1993 S2 NA Auto 2+0 Slicktop. Been almost 2 years now... how time flies, and now completed, its been stripped out again and off to the resprayer. Going for a full factory TK3 colour and SHOULD be all returned and assembled the week I fly home from the next stint, at the start of April..... so gonna have to wait till then for photos As with most, gave up a long time ago $$$ invested (which pales in comparison to the personal satisfaction gained throughout it all   ) but have a list of parts replaced thus far. Surprisingly cheap when you do most of it yourself. Left a leaking rear main seal and cam covers to Eric and his hoist. Glad to hear they arrived, I never heard back from you! Looks like its gonna be another top zed, there's a few emerging these days.
quite happy. Will make a nice combination with the dark suede interior. Should be mobile tomorrow. 4 months with the door open and the sills inverter slowly draining battery has rendered a 5 month old 660CCA battery flat as a tack. Attempting to trickle charge, or will attempt warranty replacement. Might even have time to give it a wash and find the digital
nope. Number plates on, mirrors done, bonnet strut kit fittered, driver guard- bonnet gap realigned. Cant get bonnet to sit flush. Tis the latch a 1 or 2 stage? No matter what height i put it at, cant get the bonnet low enuf. No visible marking to underside of bonnet to indicate hitting anywhere. ..... will pull the seats and let bonnet have a long hard think about what its doing wrong for me.... and decide if it wants to play ball or not
Um, well not surprised as most places will do that. Another thing on the list to be repaired I guess.
about the circumference of a trolly jack leg. Centre bolt from the latch has been removed, and is sitting a good 5mm below the hole for it. Bolt was fitted and bonnet sat even with the centre panel before. Sad panda face
smart arse. Taking my sweet time about it. New rubber should be on the 370Z rims this week. Will post pics then
Headlights gotta be brought forward a bit. Hitting on the hi side of the rubber rather than the insert. Will rectify when the 2k xenons go in Thanks for the pics eric. Few lil issues getting it to his workshop..... then my camera batteries are fubared
It does look good in the daylight, and I will admit that looking at the pics, the wheels don't look too bad, might just take some getting used to, but I still reckon the other wheels will suit it betterer.
Got some clearer photos today... strangely enough, in the same spot as last time Interior has copped a drowning to get all of the primer and filler dust out. Loving the velours.... must be getting old.
