Well, Karl (90TTZ) & myself (gmbrezzo) have been busy over the last year putting a couple of things together. (has it been that long?)
He has asked me to start this post as the Accommodation thread is getting quite large and posts are popping up all over the place.

    Details:
The accomodation is sorted, Quality venue and space to play. (plus alt motel for late entrants)

The cruise has been organised and pretty much finalised. (Full day of activities and Dinner)

Show-n-Shine is in Karls hands and all under control.

Free time has quite a few suggestions available if you want to venture out on more activities.

The Itinerey will be posted shortly with details and related costs.

In all the weekend is forming up to be an absolutly great weekend.
Don't misss this one guys as you'll be kicking yourself.

The 36th Toyota Nationals will also be in town the same weekend, and they are doing drag racing on the Sunday (1/8th mile) at Wellington.
For those that want grudge match will need to comply with the regulations (see the Toyota Nationals web page Link below)

Saturday 7th April Cruise will see us visit the Western Plains Zoo, Narromine Aviation Museum, and Parkes Radio Telescope, or "The Kings Castle" Elvis museum in Parkes.
Distance of the cruise will be approx 280 km (3/4 tank of fuel), with some windy roads and some long straights (sorry no speeding).

Details of the Saturday Cruise. (times are approx except Zoo tour start)
8:30am leave motel and drive to Western plains Zoo where we will meet an air cond. tour coach.
9:00am sharp. Coach will depart with a Zoo Personnel tour guide for a 2hr trip around the zoo with full commentary. (60 seat only, first in best dressed)
11:00am we get back in our cars for the half hr drive to Narromine Aviation Museum.
11:30am We will split into 2 groups. One group will start by viewing interesting museum artifacts, while the other half will view the Write Bros. Kitty hawk replica.
Half way the groups will swap over. The museum tour runs approx 1hr with guides, leaving an hour for group photos on the grassy parking area.
1:30pm we depart for the Lime Grove Cafe for lunch (finger food, sandwitches and tea/coffee or Lime Groves special cordial)
2:15pm we drive to the Parkes Radio Telescope with afternoon tea at "The Dish" cafe.
Those that are not intrested in the telescope an alternate venue "the Kings Castle" - Elvis Museum in Parkes has also been arranged.
4:15pm drive back to Dubbo on the Newel hwy arriving back in town at approx 5:30pm
7:00pm till late(7:30pm sit down) a full Buffet Dinner inc dessert and tea & coffee, in a private room at the West Dubbo Bowling club.
(a group mini bus/taxi will be available for those wanting to drink and not drive)

The cost inc all site entries, tours, and all meals is $110 pp
(soft drinks & bar drinks not included)

This is a substantial saving on individual tours and entry fees.
Normal entry to the Zoo alone is $46pp and does not inc tour coach and guide.

I will be requiring numbers a little later for catering purposes. Any special dietary requirments please PM me.

Is there an option of meeting up at say 12:30 ready for the group photos then afternoon tours and dinner?

If so would there be a discounted cost?

With only 60ppl able to fit on the zoo tour some ppl may want to meet up later! :)

Looks like a great day planned!! Great work!

I'm more than happy to escort the non zoo group (if there is one) as I went last week. I also grew up in Narromine so there is zero chance of me getting lost in the Central West :)

I highly recommend the zoo tour! Excellent zoo with plenty of photo opportunities

Are there any plans as yet for the Friday night? I think last time we had just an easy BBQ gathering to meet and greet everyone?

Just curious as to whether we need to make our own dinner plans :)

    Hi,

Is there a schedule anywhere for Sunday? Looked but can't seem to find it. I've mentioned to a few people (including staff at Nissan in Dubbo) that there is a show and shine on Sunday but couldn't find details.

    Cheers

Hello and thanks for letting me post in your forum.

As some of you may know the 36th Toyota Nationals will also be on at in Dubbo the same weekend, and we are drag racing on the Sunday (1/8th mile) at Wellington air strip. We'd like to invite you to join us as a competitor or spectator after your show'n'shine has finished.

If you want to compete then please download an entryform, fill it out & email it to me so that I know how many wish to enter. Your car will need to be scrutineered trackside, on the Sunday.

For those that want grudge match will need to comply with the regulations (see the Toyota Nationals web page Link below)
    http://www.toyota-nationals.org.au/.
Cheers all, see you in Dubbo.
