Looking in to getting several sets of these made up. Would need a minimum of 10 sets to get started. These bolt up to the seat mount and the seatbelt mounting hole on the body (I believe this hole is still there on cars that have door mounted seatbelts. I can do these for $89/pair unpainted if there's enough interest. Originals currently sell for around $165aud plus postage from Japan. In regards to how functional they are I'm not too sure, in theory they're helping brace across the floor but haven't got a track (or track car for that matter) to test them out. And I'd never even seen them on a Z32 before this. Still they look good painted even if they are more form over function.
Some (very) quick shots showing fitment on a 2+0. Also got confirmation that cars with door mounted seatbelts still have the bolt hole on the outside too.
yup, my 2+2 JDM with seat belts on the doors has the lower seat belt threaded hole for the pillar mounted belts.
Thanks for that tekky. If you actually read through my original post I already stated that these are probably more form over function.
doesn't look like alot of form either floor braces are normally like this even then i don't think they actually achieve anything
can second that.. thats where i mounted my lap sash part of my harnesses to, on the J-spec There's a sticker covering a threaded hole
