    here read for your self

    http://shop.edoperformance.com/tech_braille_battery.php

i have contacted the supplier in america and the the best price i could get is $250 australian including delivery with a minimum of 5 batterys if it goes over 5 it will be another $10 of the price so if we can get six batterys then the price will be $240 deliverd , delivery will take about 2-3 weeks from the date i order them.

    The CCA

is rather low @360cca for that battery. There is no such thing as a battery with to much power, 500cca is a powerfull battery, and is less affected by tempture change, starter motors will last longer and work better so will the accessaries. Batteries with a cca off 350 are approaching the minimum off what is required, imo.

i have an optima yellow top dry cell, cost $420, and that thing absolutely cranks, only started the car once as it is still in the panelbeaters, but just touched the key and it started, brilliant, you can really notice the difference between that and a niormal wet cell batery, well worth the money if running a bigger stereo, they have a 3 year replacement warranty as well, i think

I bought a new battery but it is probably not that good. I flattened it today using a carputer (laptop with a converter 12v to 15v) and a 7" touch screen. Used it for about 1 hour...

I have a feeling that wouldn't be legal (well, i know you wouldn't be allowed on a racetrack like that so i'd guess it wouldn't be roadworthy) but do you think that would hold in a crash? you've got fuel lines right infront of the battery, if the battery comes loose in a crash and hits/breaks fuel lines and sparks against the plenum or body....
if you're worried about saving weight maybe make up something out of aluminium that can secure the battery.

i think the better thing would be to locate that battery in a properly sealed box in the boot.. i definatly would tie the thing down better.. if you take a cornor to fast bam... goneskies
