Calder Park Drags results.......

Last night a few of us went out to calder to put our zeds on the strip.
There was Chris(rom-vg30dett), Mikey(RedZedMikey), Jack(zxtt-1), Paul(METHOD), Adrian(AIDO) and myself.

I managed to get 5 runs for the night which i thought was pretty good because their were alot of cars there.

1st run was a warm-up run against a Holden VXSS
I ran 13.975....he ran 14.293 (WIN)

2nd run was against a Chev Badged Holden ute
I ran 13.851....he ran 13.424 (LOSS)

3rd run was against my favourite racing opponent Chris a.k.a The Fella with the Yella Zed. Everytime we race each other its very very close
I ran 13.637....he ran 13.981 BUT when you take into account of when the lights go green i just won by 0.010secs. (WIN)

4th run was suppposed to be against a VNSS but he couldnt line up properly or whatever so i ran by myself and i got my worst time for the night aswell with a 14.015. (WIN)

5th and final run was again a skyline, this guy really wanted to run me so i thought why not as you do.
I ran a 13.491....to his 14.379, thats my best every run and from the time i took off i knew it was going to be a good time. So i was pretty happy, now i have a new benchmark to beat!:thumbsup: (WIN)

I hope all the other guys post there times up and ill send the copy of the timeslip to Risk.

Mikey organise Heathcote as by then ill have a few more mods....my goal is to get into the 12's.

My night was so so until I let the gearbox do its own thing and the times went from 14.1 to 14.7 with me doing the shifting to 13.66 with the auto doing the thinking. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: So i gues that's the way to do it from now on. A good night ... new pb for me, couple of pics.

Had a good night, and scored a new PB of 13.62 which lifts me up the rankings a few spots from my prebious 13.99. I had Max's measure by 1/100th of a second, until our last runs - I bogged off the line a bit against Jack, who drove around me with a 13.66 to 13.87. I didn't know it (no speaker announcements, no readout boards), but Max, in the run before us had just run his 13.49 - I guess that was his birthday present, bugger it.

Lent my camera to Max's mate George - the results are a bit shaky from a hand held basic digital, but here they are. Waiting to see if Fullboost were there or not ....

Oh yeah, 1 other little thing - the Z didn't have another race left in her - 1st gear broke on the way home. I think I have a lot of synchro teeth in the bottom of the gearbox. Dammit.

some times.
