August 14 QLD Tech day at the hoods

Its on again - a tech day at the Hoods.

Come one come all and have a ball, bring broken zeds or bring some beers - you know that you're all welcome here.

The date is August 14, from 11am onwards. Location Ormeau, Exit 45 on M1. Exact details available on request.

Let us know if you are intending to come along and post up what you are interested in or want fixed and the time you are coming so people know what to allow for.

 

Let us know by reply if you are coming, we need to arrange stuff for the day.

 

Gavan ... I am in and am planning to have a Plenum pull done with the main purpose of replacing the two half moon seals .....

This is a significant job and I am wondering whether an 11 AM start might be a bit tight ... ??? (dark by 5:15PM)

 

Guys and gals ... who is coming .. and what are you planning to do to your machine .... ???

Gav ... any thoughts on the start time .... ???

Tech day

We will probably try to come and meet you all, nothing to be done really but I would like a 2nd opinion on a vibration issue, and maybe if there is someone who can cast an eye/ear over my tuning would be good.

 

Fantastic, have a few beers, bring some nibblies and talk all day

Won't be able to make it this time unfortunately. I'm sure it'll be a great day, as it always is!

 

Is a complete motor install too much to ask on such a day? Would be awesome to have at least one zed on the road and driving but would be a mega mission!

Any chance of a 10:00am start .. or earlier ... Plenum pulls et al are time consuming jobs ... and a need to cater for hiccups and the like ....

 

Baz, what does your list look like for parts and consumables to do the work you need done? I guarantee you, the only thing that will hold you up is forgetting something you need to do the job. Plenum pulls on an N/A is fairly straight forward.

 

I'll be there, only fiddly bits to fit like gauge rings etc. So will be available to help others where i can.

had the pump go on my air compressor, trying to get it fixed but no guarantees, can someone bring a compressor to run air tools ?

 

If you have tools please bring them, and keep them in a known location so they dont get mixed up with mine
