I'll be assembling a run of TWD v2.0's next week.:)

The v2 is built on a PCB with provision for a relay to drive accessories: thermo-fan, water spray, audible alarm etc. Relay is NOT included as standard. One other change by request, a red flashing LED is now supplied (very bright!)

    Price $50.

NB: New dedicated USB ConZult cables @ $118 due also.

Please EMAIL me here for full ordering details.

Note this GB finishes Tuesday 12th July.

Any more TWD's required in this GB?

    I've rec'd 9 orders so far, thanks. :)

To satisfy 'Group Buy' posting guidelines I set the cut-off date for this GB as of today... afterwhich Wykked may delete the post.

You don't have to end it that quick Rob.......>>

Feel free to run it for the rest of the month if you want.

    Guidelines?????????????

Where might I find such guidelines? I found this thread by Blip, but don't see anything in it about time constraints etc. I may well be putting up another GB and need to know how to behave.

    I never mentioned Guidelines.......>>

As you pointed out Mikey we don't currently have a rigid set of guidelines, except for using basic common sense.

What Rob is alluding to is a PM discussion we had about where was the best place for him to place his add. He isn't a business and didn't want to use the normal for sale section which only left the group buy section, but is this actually a group buy? We seem to be slowly filling this section up with adds for things that appear to have no end, and others that just keep dragging on with the odd sporadic post (driver training day anyone).

Group buys usually have a life since they relvolve around obtaining a group of people together to get a discount on a set product. Once that has been achieved anything else should become the subject of a new group buy.

It is the responsibilty of the originator of the buy to maintain it and keep it current. If it falls flat then a simple PM asking "Can you delete my group buy for......" is all it takes. I've had a few lately but there are definately a few others that appear dead yet are still here.

How about the BOV group buy? can that be deleted? Do you see what I mean?

    OK, see what you mean.

My Valvoline products "GB" is open-ended for as long as I deal with Valvoline for work, but it's an example of being able to provide a far better price than members could otherwise obtain.

I have another situation in mind, which you are aware of, but am waiting for the previous GB to be finalised before posting details. This will also be open-ended for as long as I deal with our supplier, but will have to run differently as I will be required to pre-purchase minimum quantities. As such, to offset $ investment cost, risk and processing time I will be compensating myself with some profit, yet still be able to offer the product for nearly 1/3 that of the previous GB's and eBay sellers.

Does that make me a business????:LOL::LOL:, joking!

    Production delayed

    Waiting on order confirmation from:
    Yannis, John H, & Vic R.

Any one else interested if these don't firm up?

    I'm tempted...

but I think I will wait for the "In car diagnostic display unit" which I assume is ZCarJase's work in progress...

    Reply to BigCol

I was referring to TWD production delayed until all orders confirmed.

Jase's work in progress is dragging out due to release of ecuXtend a PDA based system. As a potential 'distributor', I wonder just what interest there is in ecuXtend?

    Go to www.xtendperformance.com for details.

The software complete with controller & cable is not badly priced if you have a HP compatible PDA, otherwise you're looking at around $995 with PDA.

    What do you think?

    Sorry Rob...

probably didn't make myself clear. I'm tempted to make up the numbers & get a TWD v2, but will wait and see what eventuates with the other prototype device.

ecuXtend seems like a pretty comprehensive application, but the only thing that puts me off is the price. Given that Conzult & ecuXtend are a similar price, and that I don't own a PDA but do have a laptop I'd probably purchase full conzult. (It pains me to say this cos I know how much effort goes into developing software)

For me, I'm looking for a "plug in" device to monitor a few crucial sensors and advise me if they are operating outside normal parameters etc. I doubt I'd use many of the other functions of ecuXtend all that much. I don't care for 0-100 times etc, I just want more warning of an impending disaster!

Many thanks for your efforts in bringing all these new products to the market - it is appreciated!

    Fair enuff >>>

A blaZt interface cable will do all that for $125, and if you want ConZult Tuner s/ware from TTZED it's currently around $260... works on blaZt cables.

Thanks for comment on ecuXtend - I agree. It's ideal for ppl with a compatible PDA already.

8 out of 10 TWD orders now confirmed.
