smoke screen from happening when doing right hand turns?.
I went & did a 1/2 day out at Morgan Park around the club circut & coming of the front straight into a tightish right turn & also coming on to the front straight tight right I started to lay a bit of a smoke screen which cleared itself.
What need's to be done to stop this?.
I have done a search but not a lot of info was found, can someone post some info & pic's of mod's they have done to overcome this would be great.
Also I noticed at around my third lap that water temp was heading up to about 3/4 guage, did not go any higher. When I came in after a couple of cool down laps I opened the bonnet to here the sound of the radiator boiling. It spat out a little coolant, so I let the 300 cool down for a couple of hours & checked the coolant level but this had not moved, any specail little tricks to keep these things cooler?.
    thanks
    Ian

you need to move the PCV lines from the

exhaust cam cover to a higher spot like the intake cam covers.
Or here's the stillen way of doing it.

I had a similar problem with cooling

out at willowbank the other day where the temp went up to 3/4 scale every so often and while it bubbled a bit after the run when it cooled sufficiently I was able to add about 1 litre of water over 15 minutes.
I have struck this before with BMW's where they appear full and have an air pocket in the coolng system somewhere and it basically stalls the water pump for a while till it passes through and during that time you get overheating. There is a bleed plug for this purpose on the Beemas and on the TT I think there is a bleed point on the opposite side of the radiator.
I know that after I topped it up it was okay although it didnt seem to be to low on coolant but it gradually took all of 1 litre.

    Interesting

Hey Chewy stikes again and handy info. I am home at the moment so can't check with my techs. I have never had ANY smoke or blow by in my car but my techs have a custom oil catch can set for breathing. It has clear lines to rockers and never seen any oil in them at all. Maybe this does the job. I will pass on this link though to check with them.
If going to race track with a zed it needs good cooling sytem or factory one in good condition and better BRAKES than the factory set up.

    Cooling...

...I've got an oversized twin pass alloy radiator and have never seen the temp guage move when doing track work - even now when I don't have either a top or bottom fan shroud. I cannot recommend an oversized radiator enough!!! Well worth th $1k!

    Common problem on the Zed

especially in the USA where lots of them are club sprinted. Has something to do with a design flaw on the left hand rear crankcase breather being in a crap position. Do a search on Twinturbo.net to back this up. Mine was doing it real bad - clouds of smoke and I felt like a dick, like yours only on right hand corners. I got around this by setting up a catch tank in series with the LH and RH rear crankcase breather lines(to the PCVs). My catch tank was filling to nearly 3/4 of oil after 7 laps thus preventing it from entering the intake. The best method though to prevent absolutely zero ingress of oil is to disconnect the return line to the PCVs from the catch tank and vent it to atmosphere(obviously plugging the line to the PCVs). This worked like a treat and even stopped the catch tank from filling up because all the crankcase vapours were vented to atmosphere completely unrestricted. It would be illegal to drive around in this setup on the road however OK for track. For the drive home I simply just reconnect the lines to the PCV valves back up to the output of the catch tank. I can email you a diagram on how to do this or better still come to the next track day and I will show it to you.
