Z32 VQ30DET - a replacement for your tired VG???

    I want to put one in someones car and not have to make anything :D

    vq power is awesome i cant wait for more people to do this conversion. And they sound great to.

    Excellent, now I need to find a slicktop, VQ30DD engine and a bunch of cash.

    Got a decent shed, the BBQ all set up and can probably get plenty of girly drinks at short notice so that's a start.

    why not just twin turbo a vq30det motor. Saves having to worry about tuning vvt.

    Because it's for a track car and to fit into the class I want to run in I need a normally aspirated engine of up to 3000cc displacement.

    ah got ya then vq30dd it is. Huge cams wonder how it will sound.

    No idea, the project is quite a way off yet unfortunately.

    It does give me the advantage of having a few people like you and Tom troubleshooting the basic concept before I start though, assuming the VQ30DET and VQ30DD are about the same size and shape give or take a turbo and some piping.
