Im looking for a complet listing of all the parts on the 300zx. Like a manual that if i had all the parts lying in a shed i could put them together like a puzzle and make my very own Z. does such a thing exist.

I looked at TTZ for there electronic parts manual from the US micro fish and im not sure if this is what i want or not. I know you can get simular books for fords and holdens just wondering if there was somthing simular

It isn't available in "book" format.....>>

But there are a number of copies floating around on CD. There is also a version hosted on twinturbo.net. Nissan's official parts system (Fast) is owned by a couple of members so asking about specific parts/numbers can also get you an answer.

    CourtesyNissan has a visual system------->

that shows you the parts description and hovering over a specific part gives you the part number here.

I think Ttzed works the same way.

The online manual works well and you can download a PDF version (right click/save as)

    cheers

thanks for those. wonder if anyone has a CAD or simular program with the Z and all it's parts and where they go. Wonder if the factory would cough up somthing like that.

still looking for the part im after and how to fix it but thanks for that.

its the fuel cap release mecanism so i can try and fix it.

What's wrong with it? The mechanism is extremely

simple... You can replace the whole thing at Cresta wreckers for probably less than 10 bucks... What part of it is broken...?

not sure as i cant find it after it leaves the handle and up to the weel arch

i should just pull it apart on the weekend as i have not pulled it all apart before. (the car that is)

From where you said, It runs along the rear seat area,

then over to the passenger side rear interior panel, from there, it travels up over the LHS wheel arch and onto the flap but b4 you pull the interior not much goes wrong with the cable itself...more likely the lever itself and/or fuel filler flap are the culprit.

I suspect it's not opening properly?

Try opening the fuel filler flap, then squirting some CRC/lubricant into the spring loaded tongue and press it in/out a few times.. also lubricate the flap hinge...

If nogood, then perhaps the lever beside your seat is jamming ... Does the hatch release work?

Easy to get to by taking off the drivers door scuff panel and pushing back the carpet... easier still with the drivers seat out (only two bolts and two nuts to undo for the seat)...

from there, lubricate, adjust etc etc
