hey guys, man not knowing the complete anatomy of a car makes for some shocking surprises when looking at your guys cars...

noticed a few things with my insanly wired car, i really think they did get 3 blind folded chimps to do all the work, seriously.

ok well i noticed a few things....

firstly, my accessory/thermo fan, the one in front of the radiator... its goneskies! curious how much of a difference this would make... this would make her overheat alot more during city driving hey? i think removing it to put a oil cooler in wasnt the brightest idea to cool the engine:eek:

secondly, my air con condensor is missing... i think this is responsible for my ambient temp constantly being -88 and the reason my climate controll cant do diddly squat.

thirdly, im missing the horn on the passengers side, when trying to use the horn i keep blowing fuses, could this be because of the other one missing? or do i just have to seal off the lose wires to make sure they cant contact each other/the same piece of metal?

all of this was done before i got the car also!!!

anyone know anything that could be happening because of any of these being missing that i didnt list, please post up, or just to say if im wrong or anything go for it.... also if you know any nice options to remedy these problems, lemme know ey.

oh whilst im in the zed discuss, fixed the A-pillar with a self tapper:cool: and fixed the wiper jets by replacing them with ones that were cleaned out with boiling water :D but now the old girl is running safety boost, pressure tester time! if there is any other reasons that are easy peasy to test for safety boost lemme know too :zlove:

also does anyone have a wiring diagram for what to wire guages into (for power/light) my car came with guages! that wernt wired in, so if anyone has some nice instructions, or a wikid link, would be much appreciated.

    bloody chimp-mechanics!

    cheers guys, mic.

    I haven't been following the other issues you have had but to answer a couple of your concerns;

A/C condensor fan. I removed mine and it is no problem if you do not use the A/C when doing very low speeds for prolonged useage. You said the A/C condensor is missing which means the A/C won't work anyway so without that auxillary fan won't mean squat.

The 88 degrees on the climate control means there is a fault or a missing ambient air temp sensor that is mounted on the drivers side under the upper slot on a stock front bar. If you don't have a stock front bar this is most likely the case it is missing. The wiring for the sensor originates near the A/C dryer receiver if you want to go looking for it. It's a small retangular shaped block.

With the horn are you sure that the wiring that was supposed to be connected to the one missing is not touching any of the body work? When you press the button it maybe shorting and blowing the fuse.

poor scrumpie .. i feel for you .. this was supposed to

be the zed made and maintained in heaven .. stick with it lad .. you will get there .. seemingly not overly big issues..???

lol nah bazzle, not a problem, i love to work on cars.. tis just the timing, uni doesnt like to give me much time off:eek:

90TTZ in regards the a horn wiring on the missing horn touching the body, thats what i said in there about checking to make sure the wiring is secured, ie. earth earthed and power sealed off! will do that next time i go play, and will also check for the ambient air temp sensor!

i wondered when i had my front bar off why i had 4 plugs/sockets on the drivers side... and only 2 on the passenger side... passenger side ones were front indicators and fog lights... same on drivers side but with a extra 2! so one belong to air temp sensor... oo maybe there was 3 on passenger side and the others are for parkers? (yeah i dont have parker lights lol)

ahh ok i wasnt sure about the fan missing, i read a thread that geoff had going a while ago and his car was overheating because it was missing the low relay for his auxillary fan, so i figured me missing the entire fan could be responsible for the reason for me running some high temps.

i like 99% understand the horns wiring now so lets hope next time i go play i can fix it! maybe this week some time.

alright ima look at some aircon wiring :D thanks guys!
