Here's a copy of what's written on my build plate. Can anyone decipher it and tell me what it all means? And what year the car was manufactured, as I can't find anywhere a date. Line per line as written on the build plate: E-HZ32 HZ32-000209 CRZ32JALTE5 CKZ Z VG30 (DE) 2960 RE4R01A RC41 Stu
I can't see it on the JDM list.... http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.79 I assume it is a Jap import.
Yes its a convertible Yes its a NA Yes its an Auto Colour was Chocolate Brown - been resprayed Canary Yellow Cream Interior - been retrimmed with cream cloth seats & trim But its complied as a 1992 model and registered as a 92 model. I thought the convertible wasnt released until 1993? And it has the steering wheel Airbag, which I thought was a 94 addition? Thanks so far. Stu
Model years - maybe someone in the USA can explain the part about Japanese cars built in the last three months of the year are classified as the following year auto model. That might have something to do with the spec (the steering wheel) and the info we read on the WWW.
Probably manufactured in 1992, but not released for sale until 1993. Were the convertibles made in house in Japan? Or converted in the states?
Providing the FAST info is correct & there is no reason to doubt it. The car came off the assembly line 10/1992. The US model year starts in September. So for all intents & purposes in Australia, this car being JDM is a 1992 model. In the USA it would be classified as a 1993 model.
