I have a 300xx tt 1990 When i kick it over after about 2-3 mins it starts
slightly blowing smoke out one exhaust and then when i give it a rev a puff on whitish smoke comes out.
Is this a turbo seal / PVC Valve / Head Gasket / Piston Ring?
    Any of the above??????

I am looking to sell the 300 for $4700 as is but if i decide to spend some cash on it and get it fixed i will keep it.

Any comments on this problem would be great a mate of mine seems to think it sounds like a PVC Valve or Turbo seal.

    Cheers.:D

If it's a turbo seal the smoke should be a Bluish White(and should smell like burning oil).:zlove:

It is hard to tell, it could be a number of things. The best bet is to always start with the easiest thing.

Normally when it is turbo seal, the smoke is very white, as it burns when it drips inside of the turbine (rather than pool, and burn). A leaking turbo seal will smoke when you are boosting, and when you come to a stop (@ idle).

A leaking turbo seal will progressively get worse also. You can check if it is turbo seal, by removing the dump pipe, and looking for oil residue inside of the turbine housing.

Might have a look this weekend im hoping its somthing small not a turbo dont really want to take the engine out.
Then i can spend my money on a new front bumper and mags:)

But knowing my luck its a turbo seal or something worse.

If it IS white(and doesn't smell like burning oil)then it is almost certainly steam/water vapor, and won't have anything to do with PCV's.
Best bet is to get the radiator pressure tested and checked for hydrocarbons(any good radiator shops can do this). It only takes a few minutes. This should rule out a blown head gasket.

When my turbo seal leaked, the smoke was very thick, & white. The reason it is white, is because the oil is dripping onto a hot surface and burning straight away.

Normally when there is a oil leak (valve stem seal(s) for example), the oil pools/collects, and burns slowly as the area heats, causing the more common black/blue smoke :)

Yeah might have to do as you said and get a pressure test done - Be handy to have a tester at home.
