Hi guys I have been looking over and over trying to get an idea on where to start with mods a d little upgrades and things,
I guess the best idea is to ask other Zedsters

    I have a 91 Z32TT. 5sp and 2 seater
All is stock standard as I can tell I bought it a year ago and have only had to e to fix the faded paint so far,

I'm asking what should my next step be after I add my new window tint, such as a boost controller, bov, hid's or anything else.

I have black leather seats that are worn and need to be re-done but thought I may even put some saas or something in and have them fixed over time.

I am asking for any ideas and help as I know if I went straight out and got the saas seats then I would need the bases and stuff and I am lost but figured someone would have done already
Has anyone had their Zed reupholstered or any idea on a cost

Any pics or ideas are greatly appreciated
    My email is steele.melvin@gmail.com
    Thanks again.:zlove:

I would make sure all the maintenance is done first - 100000km service, plenum pull and bypass, turbo rebuild, etc. No point having a car that looks good if it doesn't go anywhere or does it slowly ;)

plenum pull and bypass, isn't something id instantly recommend straight away.

Don't get me wrong its a good little mod, but money could be better spent else where to start with.

Also, turbo rebuild, unless you are blowing smoke, again not something id recommend to start with, some rebuilds can fail due to poor balancing, and can cost a lot of money to put right due to most people taking the engine out, so if it isnt broke, dont fix it.

Cambelt change, pulley change and idler change, id recommend along with, coolent change, oil change

For cosmetics, really the world is your oyster, and you can happily do little things to improve the look of your zed depending what you want the out come to be. HID's id recommend anyway (if its not illegal in Aus) as the standard candles are really poor, BOV's don't add performance, but if you like the Pssst sound, go for it.

If your after performance upgrades, it would depend how much you want to throw at your car, but first port of call would be getting a compression test done to make sure the engine is in good order (min per cylinder is 135, max is 186psi with no more than 14psi difference between cylinders) if you have close to the minimum, id get a proper leak down test done to find out the cause of low compression before doing any performance upping, if compression is good then.......

Start with the easy things to do. like

exhaust, air filter, ECU, up rated fuel lines / clutch lines

If upping the boost, remember that stock only goes so far before you have to start replacing engine internals and any stress you put on old engine parts will have a impact sooner rather than later.

Stock turbos will be good for 14 - 16 PSI (16 being the most id stick through them) this can be achieved either by boost controller or with boost jets, though you will have more control with a boost controller.

Again Stock injectors would be good for a max 15 psi ( i ran 16 on my stock ones in the UK)

When upping the boost it would be a good idea to improve the clutch, stock clutch will start to slip at higher boost ranges.

To be honest once you start on the performance upgrades then it will really boil down to how much cash you have and what you want to achieve.

Saying what you want to achieve would be the better option, then people will have a better understanding with what to advise.

Thanks a lot that is exactly the info I was after, I will hunt around for a boost controller and then take it one step at a time. It's not my daily driver car but it's my precious little baby I will never let part from me.
Any reccomendations on a boost controller at all?

I have recently installed an E Boost Street 2 controller from TurboSmart and i really like it. It doesnt have all the "bell's and whistles" that some of the bigger price controllers have but it brings boost on hard, holds boost nicely, has an overboost protection that is adjustable and is literaly less than half the price of the E Boost 2 if you look around. If you do a plenum pull this will be the ideal time to install it as you can then get to all the OEMK boost control gear to chuck it all out. Good breaks will be a must if upping the power but as stated before some maintenance will be first on the list to do before actual mods, unless they are done together.

A radiator upgrade is always a good idea too. And a thermo fan if it hasn't got one.
