What's with the number "3" ?

    In motoring circles.Nissan has : 300ZX, 350Z, G35, R34...
    BMW : 316i, 318i, 325i, 330i...
    Mitsubishi : 3000GT
    Mercedes : CLK320...
    Saab : 93S...
    Ford : F350...I think only the Holdens and Fords are immune to the "3" epidemic.Just a thought. =)

    Well...

    Some of the 3's you mention are to do with engine sizes (either 3 or 3.5L -> 300, 3000, 35)
    Other than that you're referring to the series number:
    ie BMW 3series (also have 5series and 7series)
    and the Fords have F100, F150, F250 as well as the F350.I'd be more inclined to ask the question...
    "What is it with these company's just issuing numbers... can't they think up any good names anymore??"
    I guess the number things alot safer.
