SA what sort of price should i ask for my 1993 2+2 n/a auto targa????

hello all i am contemplating selling my 300 to upgrade its a silver 1993 naturally aspirated 2+2 auto targa in mint condition minus the front bar needs fixing $800 to fix.

its just done 150,000k's and is regulary serviced.

just not sure what its worth or what i should ask for i dont want to rip myself off or ask 2 much and it never sells.

what are they worth? in your opinion

dash cluster now also has blue led's

stock NA with rimms that passes saftey inspection/rwc id say about 6-8k for that (if its an aus delivered). Then depends on inside/outside/panel condition and paint.

 

imo, i will pay 5k for it

 

im guessing its an aus spec and you whacked in some fog lights (good choice)
sit on 6-7k, looks very clean.. just no market for it. may be worth 12k with the neons

 

Nah maybe for an 89/90.... I think personally, being in the market for one myself atm, that you may get anywhere between 7 to 9 for it depending on the buyer you get and how long you hold out for. Only thing id do personally ditch the fully sick nismo stickers and fix the front bar... If it was manual you could probably ask more.

cool, thats cool about the sticker personal preferance i guess i dont mind it and i dont think the nismo sticker is fully sick lol just wanted something to make the window not look bare, imo its better than commodores with a commodore sticker on the front window =)

yeah i would fix the front bar before i sell it, unless the buyer can do it themselves or can get it cheaper than what i have found.

yeah i tried to find a manual when i bought the car a year ago but i found when i was looking at the time they were not as in good condition as mine and all had over 200,000k's and were thrashed and drove like crap but i only looked in sa.

 

hahah thats cool, ive noticed on the net some 300's seem to go for more here than anywhere else. why is that i wonder? =)

 

yeah i dont mind it but if a buyer looks at it... first thing they'll think, its been thrashed...

 

yeah mate its aus spec i didnt whack the fog lights in they came with the car when i bought it a year ago it was advertised for 13,000 here but i got it cheaper.

i try to keep it clean its very fun to drive, goes hard for what it is imo.

lol 12k with the neons it should up the value lol the leds cost me $40 maybe not to everyones taste but it just looked so boring down there helps me see the pedals lol

$800 fix a front bar?? who told you?
for that money you can get a 2k spec bar.

because SA is hopeless. you dont have many choices in SA. last time i saw a TT zed with a bolwn turbo, asking $7800.

if your zed is really in good nick,try 9k. you may have luck, just wait.

 

ive tried my best to look after it as the 300 is such a nice car, i dont like to thrash it cos i dont want to pay for the parts if they break and i want someone else to be able to enjoy it as i have.

now i want turbo cos im off my p's

any other tips for selling it would be appreciated =)

 

a local crash repairer on osullivins beach rd lonsdale, 800 is the cheapest i found so far the most i got quoted was $1900 i was like stuff that i know the new bar will need to be sprayed and some of the stuff underneath is a lil outa shape and it needs a new splash shield but imo i dont think it would cost that much but i aint a panel beater.

 

Not necessarily tho it might give someone that niggling feeling... sorta the same with cannon exhausts lol. I mean its a sports car so it will have been driven hard at some point ... just gotta make it look as clean as possible imo...

 

some places wont even touch the 300 cos they reckon they are to hard to get parts for and work on????

just so everybody knows why the front bar is the way it is.

it got caught on a cement tyre stopper along a shop front which had a massive bolt sticking out the top which i didnt see as it was dark and raining my car got over it ok and as i didnt know it was stuck when it came to reversing i did find out =( horrible pulling and screeching noise not cool!!

which bent and pulled the bar and smashed the splash shield the gap where the bar joins the guard was worse but its pulled itself back in to what it is now.

my heart sank and i felt sick was not a good day, i know it doesnt look like much but this car is my pride and joy

 

Dont beat yourself up dude... id be seriously considering it if it wasnt in SA and auto...

I did exactly the same thing to my old zed, got it caught on a brick(6am starts and no sleep lol) shouldn't be a difficult repair...

 

yeah i see where your coming from thats why i havent touched the tips just left them stock it has a nice sound to it tho i think the previous owner upgraded the system but left the stock tips.

i think it has a fair bit of get up and go for a non turbo and an auto imo but obviously a manual would suit it much nicer

i just love the look of them
