What have you done to your Zed today?

Thanks for the pics! I gotta admit I am impressed and I applaud your inovative styling.

I feel kind of pathetic posting up what I did in comparison, but a mod is a mod... So, I made this!



What is "this"?

I got sick of the flimsy cut-out separate floor decks in the back so I whipped up a 'one-piece' article that folds in & out. Behold!

I gazed upon the abyss of my floorless boot space and thought, "Cover it, son. Make it 40 cubits x 180 cubits and I will send you 2 animals of every kind...". Then I realised I was a bit 'un-right' in the head, so settled for a segment that just fit the hole.




The wings are integral to the design, they articulate for my pleasure.


The mid-section, or the 'taint'.


And lastly, the landing flap.


It all makes for a very easy fold out floor, more sturdy and more soundproof (I will line it with deadening tomorrow).

Voila!

 

that's the best freaking boot floor I've ever seen! Coming from many occasions of swearing excessively trying to remove my one-piece one, I want one!

Then what do you think you should do...

 

Back tyres were dirty so i cleaned them off :br:

 

Only to keep them roadworthy, right?

 

Picked up my 2+2 tt zed parts car today.

Did the final fitment of th new exhaust I made tonight. Took it for a burn up the street. Very happy with it now.

started fitting my new SPL suspension arms

 

replaced the bastard hose this weekend except it turned out that the turbo water pipe had a pinhole leak in it , so I tried to fix a few different ways. ended up cutting the pipe just before the pinhole and putting 5/8 rubber auto transmission hose (high temp ) on it with two hose clamps. Replaced the other turbo water hoses while I was there. Until I do my engine pull that will do. I will order new turbo water pipes and also the heater pipes from COZ.

Also pulled my front bumper off , did a carbon canister delete as per the tech section and while the bumper was off gave it a quick coat of Rust stop Aluminium colour spray paint. Got rid of the black out strip , the fog lights and fitted some crystal indicators I had lying around from last year



Then put her all back together and took her for a wash at 10pm sunday night hahah , here are some pics scuse the Iphone quality, I like the silver front with the speed holes, and the crystal indicators make her look a little more modern - been staring at her for ages when I got home looks so different :rofl: next project is clearing my taillights and losing spoiler for a new project spoiler. EVERYONES doing it

 

I like your rims. What are they?

 

Started it for the first time in almost 2 months. Fired first kick and ran like a dream..... rewarded it with a new hatch glass exterior rubber and some 2K Carbon Fibre finish window switches.

They are Buddy Club lightweight, 19x8.5 and 19 x 9.5

235/35*19 front and 275/30*19 rear Ventus tyres.:br:

Both rims and tyres came 2nd hand off Ebay , as per the daily driver anything must be cheap policy lol

Must say though, your girl is looking damn tuff
