Lost my drivers-side window winding function on the way back from Gilgandra
Has anyone noticed that to fix the problem, one has to wind the window down to remove the interior trim to get to the wiring and electrics to fix the problem to be able to wind the window down so you can remove the interior trim to get to the etc...Eventually forced the rear door pillar trim far enough from the door to get to the 2 bolts holding the main door trim. The problem was in the wiring, which I've temporarily fixed by twisting the wiring bundle through 360 degrees, reuniting what is probably a frayed wire:| :|

    Hey Doug......>>

Welcome to the growing list of owners who have been met with the problem of "how do I get the window down to fix the problem of the window not going down?". From what you have described as your problem and temporary fix I would suggest you have look inside the black box as dry solder joints on the circuit board in it have been known to cause this very problem. If you are uncertain of how/what to do and can get to my place at Carrum Downs on the weekend I'm happy to give you a hand, I've fixed a couple before.

If you can keep it going or put up with it till then it should make a good Tech Day job.
