i havn't delt with them personally however=> i've herd very good things about them. the owner col richards actually owns a very nice zed, and if you look in his yard the imports are of very high quality so be expected to pay a little extra. I've also spoken to a guy who owns a blue n/a zed with extreem machine stickers all over it (almost like his promoting the busniess) which he bought of col and said he's had not a single problem with his zed so far. Why you ask btw? and here's their website if you didn't already know <A HREF=http://www.extreme-machines.com.au> Extreme Machines
ive heard good and bad things...... some people swear by them.... some say col is dodgy... ive chatted to col a few times and hes a good bloke.... and yeah, there cars do look over priced but they dont deal in crap, so personally id be happy to pay the extra.although.... Distinctive Car Imports www.dcimports.com.au are my importers of choice (although they specialise in soarers). ::Risk::
Avoid at all costs, IMHO I've seen what Col has done from inside the scene and it wasn't ethical or very nice either.Guess you make your own choices, but what would you say to someone who took your $12,000 and fitted a Veilside kit but ran out of money before it could be painted?
Yeah I talked to him about his car... Ive mentioned this before I think, it was at the autosalon last year. He said his car runs like crap at low speeds but beautifully at high speeds and that it had heaps of power but couldnt tell me how much. To me that sounds like a) needs to be tuned and b) just bragging. Could be wrong but that was the impression I got.
If a sports car owner can't tell you how much power his car puts out, I'd be REALLY concerned about their level of knowledge (or lack thereof).
Let the Buyer Beware I have met and spoken to Col at Extreme Machines a few times. I thought he was pushy and full of himself. He's a salesman. He will talk and talk until he gets his way.More importantly though, he can be extremely unreliable. This comes from a good friend of mine in the after market scene. One customer may get 110% effort on their behalf, while the next gets a totally inadequate job. Which customer will you be? Flip a coin =) But seriously, time and time again I've heard that it's just not worth the effort or risk to deal with him.
