Good Morning All, Thought I'd kick things off. Autosalon is yet to officially begin, but today was all about the fun of setting it all up......and what a day it was! After 4 hours sleep between working on the video, I awoke early this morning to continue editing and editing and guess what...more editing. Made all the easier with the odd harassing message from joshy boy on msn saying "dude, don't forget....your picking me up"...I GOT IT JOSH! So as you have probably guessed, I went to pick joshy up at 2pm. We picked up the fantastic looking "Car and Mod List Posters" (see below for photos) and made our way to the convention centre (with a brief stop over in perth for some suit selection). Arriving at the Convention centre at about 3:30, we realised we were the first to arrive and sourced our spot. Mickey (our fearless leader) showed up about 4pm and we starting setting up. Soon after Brad and Dave arrived with all the lighting rigs and equipment and the exhibit started to take shape. By 6pm things were starting to look pretty sweet and exhaustion was starting to show signs of creeping in. Josh and I high tailed it back to his place to pick up his zed.....and wash it. Now seriously...who has their car sitting outside, covered with leaves and filled with crap 2 hours before its due at autosalon? He's an idiot...haha. By 7:30 we were all back at the convention centre and things were really taking shape. Clara and Rob now had their cars in place and Phatt was looking mint (as usual). Tom had even come along specially to polish Clara's engine bling...how kind! Josh and Mickey got into place and more polishing begun. By 9:30 AK showed with the newly installed sound system that is just insane...never seen anything like it in a zed before (see pics below). Josh, Brad, Rob, Ross all started polishing their little hearts out. Mickey, ChaCha, Dave and Clara all showed up with the final bits and pieces and started bringing it in and Shaq and I went wandering around to oogle the other exibits that were now clear and good for viewing! All in all an exhausting but great day. its about 12:50 now and I've still got rendering and stuff to do on the vid before being back at the show at 9am, but I just wanted to send a big congrats to all the zedders in WA that have made this happen. To Brad, Josh, Rob, AK, Clara and in particular Mickey.....not only have you all done a fantastic job in getting your zeds ready and making them look like a million bucks, but the effort that you have displayed in getting everything together has been amazing. And I'm talking: Booking Space Scaffolding Rigs Lighting Rigs Smart Lights A mirror ball A couch A poker table A 42" LCD Screen for the vid's A red carpet Silver poles and red vinyl VIP rope And the amazing looking posters that cost a small fortune each. To the rest of the zedders (in particular, Ross, Shaq, Tom and an honourary mention of ChaCha) seeing you help out and give up hours and hours of your time has been truly sensational. I tip my hat to each and everyone of you and can't wait till tomorrow. So guys and gals, please come on down and make this one of the greatest zedding events that WA has seeen. Oh and if you want you can look at the other cars too. Thanks Again Paul. I'm going to sleep now. PS. Poker games start at 10am sharp. And the playstation comp will be at the rear of AK's car for anyone that's game! haha.

good to see all your hard work coming together so well. hopefully one of the cars will win something... and surely you'll be in with a really good shot for the best club display award.
Just got home from saturday's festivities (had to leave early as I have stuff on tonight). The line was huge when the it opened...one of the busiest autosalon's I've seen in years! Display looked great, models looked better and everyone competitor had a great enthusiasm for the event. So far the club has received a massive amount of attention and I am not afraid to say that we have the most interesting club display of the show. Also the models were getting more interested than any other club, car or activity haha. I got hundreds of pics, but I'm tired. Will post later. Oh, AK has been interviewed as his car and sound system is insanely popular and Josh has been voted into the top 20 "Juiced Hot Cars" competition that will be judged tomorrow. Congrats boys! Guess it pays off when you sleep with the judges before the show! haha.
