Ok, here is a little gift that some of you might enjoy. I downloaded this video about 2 years ago and found it when I was moving house the other day. Thought I would share it with you guys, I know that most of you will appreciate it.

It is a history channel documentary about the history of the Z car. From the birth of the Nissan/Datsun car company, expansion to the US, development of the fairlady roadster and the first Z car - the 240Z, all the way to the Z32 300ZX. Shows racing efforts, and includes interviews with "Mr K" - Mr Katayama, instrumental in the creation of the Z car range, and in the success of Nissan outside the Japanese market. Documentary is about 48mins long.

I have uploaded it to youtube, split in 5 parts:

    Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=filjihe00Go

    Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U4tfDL6ZXM

    Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL_BFqiJujI

    Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piCuoqHfYEQ

    Part 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGA9xTU8GQU

And for those of you who want to keep it, I have uploaded the full vid in .wmv format. Download link is here (260mb):

    Compulsory viewing i say

Clearly dated, but since this is a 300zx club, its as up to date as we need ;)

And yes, I too now want a 240 or a 260, or even a 280, even more than i did before lol

there's so much info that i didn't know hey. Gonna have to watch it a couple more times to digest it all as i found my self drifting in a "oh to have a 240z" day dream lol

But like, never realsied that the military "jeep" the USA used back in the day was a Nissan product. Always assumed it was crylser or something.
