Hi there, Just got a 1990 TT with low comp in 5 cylinders (120psi) one with 60psi. Wanting details of a competent engine rebuilder in Victoria to do a stock rebuild of the engine. Any suggested builders in Vic? Thanks
Michael you can try Wildzx (Noel) who is an engine builder who has build salvx & waynoz's engines...or you can try Tektrader (Graham) or Lindsay at ZShop in Glen Iris...there are a few people that know about zeds in VIC. Whereabouts you located? Good luck Abraham
Might want to contact JPC too. Once upon a time they had a street registered Z32 running ten second quarters, so I assume they know what they're doing. http://www.jpc.com.au/
Try here... Many of us here get all our zed work done by Joe Imbessi. He has been building zed engines for nearly 20 years. He works at Black Stallion motors in Vermont South. You can contact him on 0408337283.
Or you could just buy my freshly rebuilt zed engine with forged pistons etc I am not going to use/need. Will probably work out cheaper.
Anyone ever been to Protek in Thornbury? Work mate of mine says its really good, they are on facebook also, just wondering though if anyone has already been to them.
Ok np then, thanks for the update What about NT Performance Turbocharging? (Names he is just telling me) as I dunno many around since I just moved here as you know
Nope, never heard of them. Nothing wrong with using other businesses for work on the zed, but i prefer to pay somebody that knows what they are doing when it comes to zeds. Anybody can be a mechanic, but working on a zed is a different story lol Vaughan as i said last night, there are more than enough members locally that work on zeds. Abraham
ok ok ill but im .. i have someone i use to build my shit .if you need it does asap let me know , or pop past my house and go pay him a visit , ( i just dont have the time to build it for you ) my guy is 100% i only ever use him for engines p.m me or call me 0413764400 alex
Looking more for a tuning place in specific, I'll use the other blokes for general work for sure though. It's more for down the track anyways when I actually get back into full time after my perm part time finishes again so I can make some more changes to it and get it re tuned.
Get Toshi to come down for a tune. He is highly recommended from fellow zedders & even on SAU. He does road tunes & can also do a dyno tune on the day if needed Abraham
