    Hey fellow zedders,
Well unfortunately its time to say goodbye to the TT zed only just because of that, its TT. It poses a problem as I am on my P?s (some of you may have seen the post). I was thinking of driving TT on my P?s but have come to the realization of the possible high fines and insurance costs.
Let me first discuss the cars faults. The turbos need a rebuild- a thin layer of oil in the intercooler piping. The head gasket needs replacement. Now although these are quite a problem- the engine has already had the plenum removed allowing easy access to the heads and turbos (I can put it back if requested). The rear HICAS steering proportioning valve needs fixing/ replacement OR you can just disable it- I was going to. The tyres also need replacing but if we are trading you can keep your good tyres. The coolant reservoir needs replacement- also another item which you can keep if we trade. One of the bearings in the tailshaft needs replacement. The front bumper needs a spray.
Not entirely sure what else it needs for roadworthy but those should pretty much do it. At the moment the car is registered to the person I bought it off. And when I bought it (just before the 31st of October this year) I added another year to the rego. You can keep the car in this name until the 31st October 2008. The reason this was done was to give me time to pay for the things for RWC as i just finished school and havn't a job.
Now for the good stuff. The odo reads 40,000 kms. Its Twin turbo. The car is basically stock with no cheap mods done to the car apart from a HKS turbo timer and a 3.5 inch, cat-back Jasma exhaust. What else to say its a 300zx going cheap.
I am willing to sell the car for $9000 ono. OR Trade it for an N/A 300zx straight (So I can drive it legally haha)
    Any questions PM me.
    Cheers marlon

dude, i dont mean to be rude, but as a member of the forum i would recommend you to drop the price down hardcore if you want to sell it. zeds of this standard sell for 4-4500 MAX. good luck with the sale though, all the best, oh and the number of km its traveled?? add another 200,000k and you will be around the ball park;)

yeah but just remember how much it's gonna cost someone to get it fixed up and registered in their name:
cost to fix turbos/other problems including labour: Maybe 3-4 grand including parts.
And it's effectively unroadworthy and unregistered, as i can't see anybody wanting to keep it registered in a strangers name. So basically around 5 grand on top of the sale price. Not trying to be mean or anything just letting you know you've gotta be realistic dude. I'd say 4000 is a bit low, but maybe 6 is more realistic, tops.

    good luck with the sale/swap

hey all, just found out that oil in the intercooler piping is normal. And that all i have to do is attach an oil catch can with a breather to stop the oil from reaching the cooler. this means that the turbos arn't blown- but i can further check through checking for shaft play when i remove the heads.
    cheers marlon

you can't check for shaft play if you take the heads off. you have to remove the turbos.

    Or remove the dumps...
