    engine - $2000

    Gearbox $1000

    bumper $500

    rims $1500

    exhaust $1500

    intercooler - $500

    Doors (inclues rear lifter) $1000

Will update more prices on parts as I go along. Bulky items such as engine, transmission and exhaust etc you will need to remove yourself.

Don't like the prices, don't thread shit. When you own the car you can decide what you want to sell the parts for.

Might want to list what you know has been done to the engine, for potential buyers.

Hi Jamie, Thanks for the advice but I have no idea. I posted a pic of the engine so people can see a bit for themselves. If it cant be seen in that pic I could claim what ever I wanted, However I am not a a*****e scammer. The car runs, has no mechanical issues, If they want to pull the head apart and see whats done to it, they can be my guest, But they wont be doing it in my driveway.

Fair enough - Any contact with the previous owner that could possibly shed some light on this matter? It could benefit you in the long run, you could ask more then $2k if it has substantial upgrades.

Possible Jamie, I think their is the previous (x2) owners contact details. Due to their privacy I would ask then first if I can pass out their info. It's a shame as there is quite a lot of receipts in the car however a lot of them are faded. Also I'm not interested in making top dollar on the car. I do want to see the back end of it as soon as possible as I do have a new business I have started and this money will go a long way funding it. It is also the same reason to why I haven't personally completed the car.

Will do, I apologise for that. Purely pointing out that I'm not here to rip anyone off. I am sure there are plenty of people out there who would take full advantage of others if given half a chance.

in your for sale ad its says it has forged pistons and upsized cams, if thats correct then it should be a better selling point for your engine :)

How do I prove that? Just with receipts?

I'm hoping to chase up some receipts, wouldn't the proof be in the pudding? Take it for a drive? Or some possible visual inspection?

Nah taking it for a drive won't prove much, a dyno readout may though.

I'll see if I can afford to do one Monday. I will be honest, the more I can prove, the more I am going to ask. I have been lazy with the car. If I go through all the headaches myself I will ask closer to its worth. The price I have asked is cheap if its all true. Without the engine proof, the other mods are visual and don't need proving. I did locate a receipt for 2 blow off valves which were $455 each. So $910 on blow off valves is a fair bit extreme for a stock engine I'd think. They are called mega-sonic. Will mean more to you than me.

Blow off valves aren't really performance related and don't reflect on the power it could potentially have.

Would you spend $900 just on blow off valves on your stock 300zx? Would you spend another $500-$1000 on a GPS tracking unit on your stock 300zx? Would you spend $2500 on Lamborghini doors on your stock 300zx? I also know that it has hi flow cats etc. it's pretty obvious that a lot of money has been spent on this car cosmetically AND mechanically. I'll still chase up receipts but I now feel people are just nit picking now. People don't spend more than what the car is worth originally on just cosmetics. This car is a diamond in the rough, not "polish a turd but its still a piece of poop"

Prices for blow off valves are a lot different 6 years ago. I 100% get where you're coming from, but yes people do spend excessive amounts of money for no reason.

Just trying to help you sell the engine easier, proving it has work will pay off.

Thanks Jamie, I get that. If the engine is worth more (which I am sure it is) that's the buyers win. Tbh I'm just selling it to recoup my money. The car with all the visible mods makes it worth every penny plus more than what I am asking for it. Me going through all this effort is the exact reason why I was selling it 'cheap' I don't want the headache. But if I'm asked to go through the headache of tracking all the info down myself I will ask more for the items. It's a double edged blade. The buyer at worse case, gets a fair deal on what they are after, or they score an absolute bargain at my laziness. I hope this makes sense. Either way I'm not ripping anyone off, rather I am potentially ripping myself off. If someone buys the car completely they obviously get a way to contact the previous owners themselves. I have done it tonight finally but obviously as its a online enquiry I have to wait for a response. When I say the previous owner, I don't mean the guy I bought it off, he knew less than I did. I'm talking about tracking down an original owner who done majority of the work. If I'm made to do this, it's a headache for me and therefore I will ask close to its actual worth. So in this case it's buyer beware. The more I know the more I'm going to charge you. So if you know more than I do, it's going to benefit you. I haven't done years of research on zed's and I don't particularly want too. That's upto you guys :) you've put the hard yards in learning about this stuff, so you have every right to ask things real value. Me on the other hand am a complete noob to these things. I will admit I have a slight understanding of then and I know when something is worth $. I could spot this a mile off, just can't really explain all the technicalities of it. I'm sure f I spent a few dedicated hours researching all the bits I could answer more questions. However I'm lazy and I'd prefer you to get a bargain, me to be happy to recoup my money back. All from someone just asking for a specific photo or even making the effort to come look at the car. Help me help you :-D
