    Hi All,

    cheers

    It'll

be fine, one thing you don't want to do is paint the a urethane bar off the car on leave it to completely dry before fitting it, like I did. Mine was painted with two pack and shrunk as the paint dried out over a full summer. The painter told me it would happen, and it did. Lucky I managed fit the rear bar before that happened to it also.

The very fact that it is being discoloured would indicate that it is being adversely affected by exposure to the elements. This is never a good sign. What level of deterioration may eventually occur is open to conjecture.
Best immediate option is to give it a coat of undercoat(at the very least)but be aware that undercoat is porous and so not sufficient protection long-term.

No real substitute for finishing it in body colour IMHO.:(

    Shouldn't matter much.....

While the urethane is obviously being deteriorated by the UV, it shouldn't be that critical because the urethane of the new bar has to be 'scuffed' before painting anyway.

if you are going to be that anal about it dont rush off to get it painted when it would need to be repainted later.... just put a freaking tarp over it or something

are we really this bad that we have no problem solving skills of our own any more?

    seriously?

the question was whether or not the yellowing of the part was a cause for concern, since posting the question I have managed to find a painter that can fit me in next week. I thought perhaps i'd been an idiot and not known that urathane cannot be exposed to UV or something. And if it was going to be another month till paint like it looked this morning, a tarp on a daily would not be a sensible solution. as it is paint next week and urathane colouration is aparently not a concern short term.

thanks everyone for the otherwise positive and informative posts..

well, i pretty badly misunderstood your post then. sorry

fitted an unpainted bar as i had a buyer for my na bar, which was previously fitted. i had hoped to get Vizard to paint it, but he got busy and it's my daily, so now ive got a red zed and cream coloured 2k bar driving around looking like a stawberries and cream idiot. anyhoo think ive found a place to do the deed, will be too late for saturday nigght's show and shine so if there's a catagory for best mismatched front bar, im in. otherwise i should probably just throw a tarp over it :D

And this is the point at which I ask the obvious question,

What in my response, do you consider was worthy of you attempting to "have a go" at me?:rolleyes:
Perhaps a little introspection of your own Navel might be a more productive use of your cognitive skills(but then again, perhaps not).:p:rofl::rofl::br:

I don't see anything that suggests an atmosphere of blind hysterical panic, in my advice to the OP(perhaps such panic might be advisable in respect to your blatant abuse of your medication)??:p;):rofl::br:
