A quick couple of pics of the UAS bellmouth dumps that are on the way -for those not aware the original set were custom made by a performance fabricator at UAS to replace the CES dump pipes on Shifters car. These are a 3" bellmouth to offer the BEST flow possible, yes even better than fancy split designs and this has been proven on the dyno with Stageas and GTRs. This is a set being made up in stainless for my car, lots of work and difficult to work with. They will be mass produced soon but details for purchase etc will be posted in appropriate forum. If anyone is interested please shoot me a PM and leave this thread purely for technical discussion thanks! Fit is very tight around starter motor and firewall for maximium ground clearance. People with CES dumps will know what I'm talking about
Has been proved on UAS dyno more than once. No I don't have dyno sheets so you wil have to take it or leave it
Bellmouth better in theory as well as it offers a much larger area where the gas is hottest. Have a look at the overall area for airflow on a split flange design you will see it is dramatically reduced compared to same size bellmouth.
interested to see proof aswell just because i find it hard to believe the bellmouth design is now superior to the split design when it has been the other way around up until now. im open minded either way but its a drastic change and would have thought it was going backwards
Again?? Look at the two side by side evidence will be in front of you... All info has been posted and dyno does not lie.
As I posted before UAS have tested on dyno with GTR and Stage and found that bellouth pipes make more power. PE also reccomend bellmouth with their big turbos.
If increasing the area where the gas is the hottest leads to the biggest gains, why don't we just vent to atmosphere straight after the turbo. Pretty sure atmosphere has more volume than a bellmouth design. I mean, sure it will be illegal, but apart from that its all good right.
lol. I too would like to see the evidence. Anyone can claim x is better than y because we did a test and I said so. Show us some dyno charts.
Maybe you have heard of screamer pipes? If not here's a pic And yes greater area is required where gas is hottest this is fairly fundamental stuff...
Ditch the pipes. Straight after the turbo. Trust me, did a calculation on my computer. It says it will be 10x betterererer than the UAS pipes. And LOL at showing a pic of split design screamer pipes to make a point.
