So far we've done fuel pumps, fuel rails, and injectors. Time to put the pieces together with a group buy on a high quality fuel pressure regulator. The turbosmart FPR 800 is a high performance reg suitable for cars running up to 800hp. Features include
    • 1/8 NPT fittings
    • 30-70 PSI base pressure adjustments
    • 1:1 ratio
    • Available in standard colour scheme (blue/polished) or black sleeper series
This kit will include fuel reg, fittings suitable to use this reg with an OEM fuel rail, and a bonus fuel pressure gauge. All regs are supplied with mounting bracket, vacuum fitting and gauge port blank.

Liquid-filled, fuel pressure gauge. Features stainless steel body and a 1/8 NPT fitting. Pressure range: 0-100psi (0-7 Bar).

    Supplier: Unique Auto Sports www.300zx.com.au
Price: $245 for the kit described above
How to Order: To place your order I will need a 50% deposit (PM for deatails), with the balance payable when your order is ready to despatch.
Timeline: I will leave this group buy open until friday June 13th, and estimate the orders will be ready to despatch by the end of June.
Conditions: Couldn't be without the fine print.... Pretty straightforward stuff guys and remember the rules keep things simple for the supplier, which keeps the parts cheaper for the customer (us).
*All orders must be finalised within two weeks of being adcised your order is ready to send. Failure to complete within this timeframe will forfeit your deposit and your reg will be sold for the outstanding amount.
*Timeframe for delivery given above is an estimate only and does not form a condition of the group buy.
*All advice and information will be provided, but ultimately it is the customer's job to ensure that the part you order is suitable for your application.

    FPR 1200 Option Also Available

There is also an FPR 1200 option for those with big turbos wanting more HP. This would be ideal for those who have purchased 300 degrees rails and is the same reg being used in my monster fuel system.

    Features:
    • Special internals to handle all types of race fuels
    • 2 x AN -6 inlet ports
    • 30-70 PSI base pressure adjustments
    • 1:1 ratio
    • Available in standard colour scheme or sleeper series (pictured)

    What is stock pressure?

Stock pressure is about the 42psi mark.

I'll most likely be in for one of these. I need more Turbosmart stickers anyway :p

I thought they where a lot more pricey than this! Good stuff

Yeah stock pressure is within the range of adjustment. Don't know what the ratio is of stock reg though.... Plenty of these turbosmart regs around though on slot car, PAC racing mx 6, PAC rx7 etc... serious cars.

As fas as other regs, I have owned malpassi and SARD regs before settling on the FPR1200.

    Hey rob, your a legend.
I've been waiting for a good price on a fuel reg since you did the dirty on me on that sard one a while back hehehe (kidding) ;)

For 35 bucks is it just worth getting the 1200 or is it really overkill?
I have no plans to upgrade my fuel system except for a new pump but you never know in the future hey.

    Either way i'm in mate.
    Cheers

    Haha yeah.......

JP reckons the 800 will suit most people, remember even GT1871RS turbos are only rated to 400hp each....

Another bonus with the 800 is it comes with all fittings for bolt on application with your standard rail.

Up to you, we can chat to JP about it friday?

Well seeing as Z1 have managed 880hp at the wheels on a set of the same turbo's I don't think its a bad idea getting the 1200hp version. If your making 700-800hp at the wheels you'd still be making a substantial amount at the engine which even at 800hp (at the engine) you'd still be running close to the top end of the FPR.

I guess better way of explaining it is I'd rather have the bigger one operating at a lower use than a smaller one operating close to its maximum.

    Ok Rob,

After our discussions today i've decided to completly dis-regard
Johns recommendation and go the 1200 instead of the 800.
I mean hey, only 800hp is for woosies. With this and my Type-R stickers I should be good for atleast 1000hp so better safe than sorry :whatever: lol

Shoot me some details and i'll get you fixed up asap. Might be a week or so though hope that's ok.

    Ben
