after work today i stopped in at my sister's on the way home, went to turn off my car and my HKS turbo timer that has been playing up (not displaying on screen) decided to not let my car turn off. so after waiting to see if it would turn off i disconnected the battery hoping that would work, didn't work so tried a trick i read on here and put plastic bag around air filter to strangle my car (it worked really fast)

so i need some advice, how do i repair / remove the turbo timer, and would the wiring harness for it work on a newer hks turbo timer?

If u chase the hks harness wires back to their origin, ull find there has been some factory ignition wires cut/spliced into. Rejoin the factory ignition wires (match up the colours, stripes etc) and remove the turbo timer. It is pretty straight forward. Follow the wires back and ull see :)

And after that never put a turbo timer in your car again :)

Isn't the idea so that the car can continue idleing to lubricate and cool down the turbos?

Just take it easy the last few mins, by the time you pull into your side street and get the last km home its done.
