Well the transmission in my car shat itself a few weeks back, in the process of getting things repaired, basically my options at the moment are to rebuild the existing auto trans which is buggered or to source a 2nd hand one. (I did consider the manual conversion but I really can't be arsed fiddling around trying to find all the bits:p)

    Heres the question ehe

I do have a twin turbo auto readily available, i know i'll need to get a new tailshaft to put it in (though a one peice was something i've been meaning to get anyways) but are there any problems associated with whacking a TT auto in an NA?

What are the differences between the TT and NA transmission?

Is it just a better option to source a 2nd hand NA trans?

    Thanks!

in my opinion, it will be HEAPS easier

to source another second hand auto box.....and cheaper as well

From what I understand the auto's are the same between the TT's and NA's, just the bellhousing is different. Just change the bellhousing/front case with your existing dead auto box and you'll be laughing.
