    just curious,

is there anyone out there that would be willing to trade their 4seater, manual or auto.... for my auto, 2seater?

    what would be your reason?
if you DID trade with someone? :p

would anyone want to go to a 2seater, after owning a 4seater?

    all responses welcome

(idea inspired from the 2seater to 2+2 conversion thread lol :D )

hmm good question. I'm a fan of 2 seaters but I don't think I could ever be bothered trading my 2+2 for a 2 seater. Especially since having owned my 2+2 since 05, I couldn't bare to part with it.

You'd lose not only the rear seats but the extra stability of the longer wheelbase... all with no real gain apart from the different looks.

And the weight reduction and possible chassis rigidity, which the 2+2 just can't make up.

I would trade my 2+2 for the 2 seater because I realy cant use my back seat for people for the next year! :bash: And I'd rather people not climbing through me car.

What is the advantage of extra chassis rigidity? It is universally accepted that the 2+2 has superior handling qualities over the 2 seater, and the addition of Strut Braces reduces the lack of rigidity.:zlove:

    red32 You talkin' to me?

I would consider it if the 2-seater was a TT in similar condition to my Aussie NA (turns to look at the 'Dark Side'). I don't really use the rear seats for anything but storage space, but I do prefer the look of the 2+2 . . . I reckon the extra 200mm length gives them a sleeker look, but you can't see that from the inside. Performance-wise my NA is not far short of a low end TT so that's not a real factor.

At the drags? But the biggest advantage of a 2 seater..."Sorry mate, I'd give ya a lift home but there's me and the missus and I only have 2 seats". So many times saved a "friend" vomiting in the car on the way home.

How about a 2+2 NA with quite a lot of work done ;)

Don't think I could bare to have a auto though :(

I prefer the 2+0 and normally have the back seats down in my 2+2 so the I can use the harnesses.

The not having to take people around is also a good point, but the 2+2 is only a pretend 4 seater. I can fit in the back, but only in an emergency.

    2 + 2 is fine as a shopping trolley .. but the 2 seater,

with the boot easily taking 2 sets of golf clubs, is the way to go ...!!!!:D :D

black bess stays, thank you ....   ;) ;)

You've gotta get smaller golf bags mate, not those 11" buggers.:D
I can fit (2) normal sized golf bags, (2) overnight bags plus (2) buggies in my 2+2 without resorting to laying the back seat down. It's amazing what you can fit in there if you plan it out, instead of just throwing it all in & hoping the hatch will close.:p :D :D :D :D

2+2 all the way, i couldn't part with mine. at first i was keen for a 2 seater, but then saw them in person...... to me they don't look right. the 2+2 has that sleeker look about it.

i rarely carry people in mine, and my mates can fit in there if they desperately need to.

i don't really put anything on my back seats either - try to keep the car as neat as possible nowadays.

some would argue that a real sports car should only have 2 seats, or 1 for that matter.
