    Welcome to the forums...

You dont need to pull the motor out to change the timing belt...

take a look at the tech section... http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/

If your going to change the timing belt i suggest doing the whole lot at once... Get a kit the 100k kit from k zed... http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=248864

I am sure the brissie boys will be able to help you out with installing the 100k kit :)

Good luck with the zed mate :)

No, you most certainly do not need to take the engine out. It is simply a task of removing the radiator, fan, belts, timing covers and you are there. Have a bit of a search around the internet (here and TwinTurbo.net) are two good places to start for some information on doing it. Should even be able to find a nice walkthrough for it. It is not a tough job with some mechanical experience or simply a good level of intelligence.

    Welcome to the Forum :)

Zanjara has pointed you in the right direction and if mechanically minded you can do a 100k service yourself. i.e. Vic aka BARON, & I did a BLING job on Black Baz's NA in 9 hrs yesterday, including a long sumptuous lunch in the Chardonnay Shack - but I digress, which included a plenum pull AND 75% of the labour involved in a 100k service.

If you choose to use a workshop then get quotes on labour-only from Gavin Wood Autotech or AMEC. and expect to pay around $700 in labour.

the boys in brissie will help you out in doing the 100k service no matter what :) and save you some $$ just put on a BBQ and some piss and i am sure they will all come around for the day or 2 :)

K-zed's 100k kit is there so get that off him and i am sure one weekend they will be able to help you fit it all :) for $750 that is a bloody good price for the full kit... add an UD pully and its just over 1k...
